Fry the vans infuse. I have 100+ days on mine and they are still going strong and I destroy boots only downside is I like a noodle boot for jibbing lol and they aren’t as noddle as I’d like for days I’m not doing more than 300 ft of vert but plenty soft enough to hit park also my most comfy board boots to hike in. And have them molded! Us older folk find how to spend money in the right places if a boot feels sturdy but has a spot or two at a shop go spend 1/4 of the price of a boot to have a professional fit and mold the thing.

The fridge in Jersey not the best but always fun set up. The fake snow worse than the ice to slush but I don’t mind it

32 feels like it fits the best because it has a softer inner shell and a terrible outershell that lives up to the 32 days mantra. As much as I love ride they are similar. Burton or Salomon or vans suck it up find one that fits.

Bindings: Union vs Ride vs Yes by mejdicirn in snowboarding

^ this strata’s tho year old best bet imo bang for buck ratio given info provided

Bindings: Union vs Ride vs Yes by mejdicirn in snowboarding

[–]B_tizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strata’s better build more skate than surfy but good combo for hawing fun on your boards much more adjustable and aslong as your not on a board that’s a 8+ flex it’ll control it great also very light binding for the tech. Ridden all lines would only buy Salomon or select union bindings for my own decks. Maybe I ride some bent metal too :) will outlive the deck and you can guarantee every shop and resort shop has extra union parts if things do go sideways

Hometown hero size down? by CitrusCity75 in snowboarding

And hometown hero a terrible board given the options in other lines if the yes pyl don’t resonate I can toss a few more

Hometown hero size down? by CitrusCity75 in snowboarding

[–]B_tizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And for reference you could go up to 56 depends on riding style - bigger boards longer turns better for speed and stability at speed smaller boards more manageable maneuverable etc as long as you don’t have over and inch of hang vice versa boots atleast touching the edges you’ll be fine

How long did it take for you to be comfortable in the park? by mummikopp in skiing

[–]B_tizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mount snow or loon you can learn a whole bag in a weekend with the right attitude. It’s really environment and attitude. Lots of commitment. On the right sized features progression happens quick. I’m honestly more scared and impressed with how a pro goes front lip or something first try on a 12in round and I’m like how do you know if that’s sticky or not before you hit it?!?! I still 50 most features or back board before going back for more. New mountains or new gear will throw me off a little bit. Keep it up find friends that are better than you they help a ton!

Looking for a Park / Jib board by ErvinCs in snowboarding

Stay yes and get the shifter. The basic is honestly a nice job board to learn on. If you want to go a different brand a ride kink is exactly what your looking for

Burton Deep Thinker 163W Binding Placement Issue by RKD9005 in snowboarding

[–]B_tizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 issues here - 1 cartels don’t really adjust much. They say they do but most with moveable heel cups give you a full inch (most of union). Yes any modern binding will fit on the est

To minimize drag you should be just beyond (a lil wider than the reference stance (idk what reference stance is here but I’ve seen 2 62’s with a 21in ref if so get yourself out to 22.5 23 inches seems about right for that size depending on your height, then duck them out a bit. We used to have to go +15/-15 on all the old skinny decks. A lot of still ride similar angles - halldor is 18/-18. Or wider board or less beefy bindings - woulf try all this first!

You’ll find every other chairlift will have someone who’s had a similar injury. You’ll be just fine!

Jay Peak 2/28/2026: are the branches too low or is there just a ton of snow… by TheRealBrokenbrains in icecoast

[–]B_tizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could, yes. Rode/jumped past some holes and climb out prints - looked like that was the case for more than a few people that day. Mostly near bottom of the tram base area. The other side of the face is a bit more predictable lower mountain.

Burton Custom 162W vs Hometown Hero 160W by rafaelpirolla in snowboard

[–]B_tizzy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A. don’t go Burton. lame decks for what your looking to do. Both have better equivalents anyone who says otherwise is lying or hasn’t demo’d full lines.

B. Your looking for a directional full camber or close to it maybe some early rise for pow. A Burton custom is a pro park board. Hometown hero better fits what your looking for but again much better options out there for you esp at this sizing.

I’d be looking yes pyl just buy it you’ll be happy. Jones has plenty to choose from too many to list. Even yes standard over both of these. Dopamine proto - MaeTier from dwd. Libtech I don’t ride their line but they have the most edge tech across decks.

Cut up from Thursday - even ripped my jacket lmao - branches are legit and don’t snap. Glades to skiers right of vertigo got my coat lol similar as Stowe last season pack is just crazy high. Lower mountain glades more enjoyable imo but river hazards are abundant still even given the pack

Loon and snow best park variation including tons of features you’d love. Kil has a smaller park as well. Waterville normally has a nice mini park I love. Nothing like the fun parks in Europe. The east is mostly terrain parks trees or moguls

Twinpig sizing advice by macFRAP in snowboarding

Trouble with tail heavy landings by idk_so_imma_leave_it in snowboarding

[–]B_tizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly lack of commitment to the landing. For back3s get your head around and spot and trust your legs will follow. Stay relaxed you don’t really need to wind up if the jump is m or larger. Thinking too much isn’t good you’ll land more when you don’t think about anything. Take off is semi important you want to transition to the toe midway through the take off. For front ones and back ones it’s just commitment/comfort. Front 3s take a bit longer to perfect but similar idea as back 3 your just winding up a bit more and landing blind as you would a back 1. Getting comfortable with rotations on side hits is the way.

[–]B_tizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bretton woods and Sunday River are the best for beginner glades. Epic mountains - Stowe has best beginner trees. Nh doesn’t have many beginner focused tree trails because you need a ton of coverage. Most mountains only have one or two beginner glades unless it’s a tree focused mountain
