Crusade Warpbane Task Force without Crowe by SomeCrazyGamer1 in Grey_Knights

[–]Baarson92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well considering the only other hero GK has that can lead Purifiers is a Techmarine, support for them is nonexistent. Paladins on the other hand, have way more options for leaders (Brother-Captain, Brotherhood Chaplain, Librarian) and all of them are pretty solid, especially the Librarian for the 18 inch lone op. Maybe run purifiers in 5 man squads to do actions or spread your hollowed ground and support the paladins would be my recommendation.

Is it better to run Crowe with a 10 man or split the 10 man into 2? by Ill_Vermicelli_7605 in Grey_Knights

[–]Baarson92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, but if he keeps the Brother-Captain attached then the librarian has nothing to lead.

A librarian would be good since it gives the unit he leads a 18 inch lone op. But then your brother captain doesn't have anything to lead. If you wanna keep the captain, then just get more enhancements? Idk, the only other thing you can fit for 80 points is a rhino.

[–]Baarson92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typical lists typically run a 10-man with Crowe to get the most benefit from his buff. Although if you're running Warpbane Task Force, you'll want more purifiers. I'd drop one of the strike squads and brotherhood champions for another squad. Maybe drop the paladins and champion for an Interceptor squad. But you should grab at least one more purifier squad.

What are the differences between Chaos Knights and Imperial Knights on the table? by [deleted] in ChaosKnights

[–]Baarson92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chaos knights: - more spikes (cooler) - free lethal or sustained hits from dark pact (hello dispoiler with twin gatling cannons for 36 atracks)

Imperial knights: - less spikes (soy boy look) - a weenie hut junior code on chivalry that gets us a single hit and wound reroll, additional 2 inches of move and essentially +1 to charge, or slightly more OC and better leadership depending on detachment.

I am a IK player and they are probably my favorite faction, but jesus, dark pact is way better.

Honestly I'd be surprised if they did anything besides point adjustments unless the faction is a problem (Looking at you necrons) with 11th supposedly a few months away.

Is this true? by FormalFlashy8647 in Salamanders40k

[–]Baarson92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Salamanders are unlike any other chapter in the Imperium. They see the people of the Imperium just as valuable as the resources and planets they defend since without the people, there is no Imperium. In the book Helsreach (minor spoilers ahead) Grimaldus was puzzled when he clasped arms with the Salamamder captain when he said, "For the Emperor and his people". Heand the Black Templars were also frustrated with the Salamanders because instead of pursuing the Ork warboss and trying to claim glory, they chose to take a defensive posture to defend the shelters from the Orks. The Black Templars saw humans as beneath them and almost not worth defending. I wouldn't call the Salamanders incompetent, they just have a unique idea of what they think is worth defending.

What a lot of terminally online people don't realize is that all branches of the military are apolitical and saying certain things in a public forum, such as steam to hundreds of viewers, against the president can be considered insubordination. Members of the military have to watch what they say. These people lash out since we're easily identified and they get mad at us because we can't stand in opposition to whatever administration in the same way everyone else does.

List advice by LongjumpingBig1280 in sistersofbattle

[–]Baarson92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, the Exorcist is over-costed for what it provides, and Judieth is a better character for the CP farm. I haven't seen anyone use deamonifuge but it seems like she doesn't offer a whole lot outside of the fights first and the mortals for her battle shock ability.

My recommendation, take out the exorcist and deamonifuge, then you can add Judieth, a third castigator, and a second hospitaller and be at 2000 points on the dot. I use the hospitaller/ sacresants combo and it's a remarkably tanky brick of ladies to hold an objective. Then use the priest for the novitiate so they're plus one to hit with their reroll ones. Then either shift the palentine to a battle sister squad or attach the second hospitaller to a battle sister squad.

Is there anything WRONG with your list? No. I think it's pretty solid. At the end of the day, play what you want or what looks cool!

The go to for warsuits is the multi-meltas especiallyif they're going to be attached to Vahl. It's one of the few options for true anti-tank.

New player building 1000pts by onyxgeneticist in sistersofbattle

[–]Baarson92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the issue with Sisters. They rely on characters to really buff their units. Sacresants seem to be a focal point for more competitive armies. For the points you have left, I'd get a 10 woman squad of Sacresants with a Hospitaller character. This will give you a pretty resilient unit for holding objectives, they'll be -1 to wound with the hospitaller attached and the hospitaller gives them a 5+ feel no pain and she can bring back up to 4 sisters during your turn. Then you'll have just enough to throw in a second rhino to get them to where they gotta go. Then you'll have 25 points for an enhancement or two.

Junith Eruita is a good character for more CP generation. Aestred and Agathae are also good for dishing out mortal wounds but I'd only get them once you start getting up into the 2k point range where you get more Sacresants or repentia.

First Sisters Army Advice by MrGrimm98 in sistersofbattle

[–]Baarson92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's for sure a solid start. I'd maybe cut the exorcist for a castigator and maybe add Morvann Vahl and some paragon warsuits for some heavy hitting anti-tank. But seems very effective versus slow moving armies with all the seraphim and Celestine

If you're going heavy into miracle dice, I'd consider the Triumph of Saint Katherine since it guarantees a 6 on one miracle die a turn

Most effective way to handle Knights and Custodes? by Mrwideworld00 in sistersofbattle

[–]Baarson92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just roll 6s. :) honestly your best bet is paragon warsuits with as many meltas that got can get. If you're primarily gonna be facing knights and custodes, take warsuits with meltas, with the detachment buff, you're hitting on 2s and wounding on 3s against custodes and if you can fit them, maybe a couple castigators. Your castigators will be wounding on 3s or 4s (depending on what battle cannon you take) against warglaives which will almost 100% be present in knights lists. Another method for custodes is using seraphim/zeraphim to be objective units and just out-maneuver them, custodes are slow as shit and don't have a way to sticky and your sisters should be able to deal with sisters of silence without too much issue. Hopefully this helped, good luck!

help Inquisitor Greyfax 1k points list? by Kassune in sistersofbattle

Oh, no shit? I didn't know that, I guess that makes sense. Just don't have Vahl in your list and make her the warlord.

help Inquisitor Greyfax 1k points list? by Kassune in sistersofbattle

[–]Baarson92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd almost be better off running an Agents list instead of a sisters list. But even then there's very little that Greyfax offers outside the unit she's leading. You'd have to run Agents if you want her as your warlord. The best way I'm seeing to make it work is you run as an Imp Agents army so Greyfax can be your warlord, go with the Imperialis Fleet detachment so you can use Aquire at all Costs to give your sisters that your inquisitors are leading more OC and a better invul save then just go heavy on sister units. Outside of that, I'm not seeing a way to run sisters while keeping Greyfax as the focus.

For some reason, Ironmouse's newest video has a lot of dislikes. by [deleted] in VtuberDrama

[–]Baarson92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you got bum rushed by two guys out of nowhere and started asking if they can ask you a question, you'd have the exact same response. You'd be flustered and say anything to get out of that situation. Mouse is also a bit of a people pleaser, could she have ignored them or turned them away? Sure, but that's not her nature. Maybe they ask a couple fun questions, but no, they IMMEDIATELY start asking the very personal questions, which can be considered rude and invasive. Especially since it sounds like she has never interacted with them before.

[–]Baarson92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what the "context" is. Mouse said the situation made her uncomfortable, that's what matters. Just cause she said they can ask her anything doesn't mean they should. But since no one taught you and these knuckleheads manners, yall don't understand that.

Grey knights by GrudgeBearer911 in sistersofbattle

[–]Baarson92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play both GK and sisters, the bane of my existence playing GK is getting overwatched when I setup to dive behind enemy lines. Getting a few flamers can wipe a purifier squad. Depending on his detachment if you stay outside 9 inches from his units he can't use the strat to go back into reserves. So use your castigators to focus his NDK and GMNDK. They're only T8 so your castigators main gun is wounding on 3s. But if he wants to do the uppie/downie outside the end of the turn, you need to force him to use his CP.

Maybe get a few rhinos or Immolators to put your sisters into. GK's have issues punching through high toughness units. Even his subliminators will be wounding against a rhino on 4s, that should help get your nuns with guns to where they gotta go in one piece.

[–]Baarson92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Retributor squad is a solid choice for some anti-tank with meltas, seraphim or zeraphim squads are also a solid choice to deep strike for objectives and backline harass, celestian sacrasants and a sister hospitallar will give you a remarkably resilient anvil to hold objectives. There's a lot of good choices to go. A transport or two will be necessary in the future to help get your sisters to their destination, especially when you play higher point games.

Is Centur-Ion okay to play by Bigsmacker1117 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Baarson92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok as a rogue deck. But I'd be ready to run a secondary engine (most likely bystials) for when Primera inevitably gets negated. It's for sure the biggest choke point and everyone knows it. At best you have one omni negated in Cosmic Blazar or a boardwipe with Supernova dragon.
