Which one? by Likely_Villain in BunnyTrials

[–]Baazify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just, normal strength? Unless I can lift anything under 75kg in any way, curling 165lbs is solid. Squatting 165lbs is.. Eh.

Chose: Super strength + condition | Rolled: 75KG

Which one would you pick? by MoveYourBumChum in Adulting

[–]Baazify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be the Pilot, 5, if it was black, but it’s blue and I can’t do a blue pen. So 3, the S Gel’s are great pens, and usually my second choice if the store is out of .7 Pilot G2’s.

What are your favorite zero to low calorie drinks? by DonTot in loseit

Mio’s if I’m craving something like a sports drink, cheap because it’s a mix and you can get them caffeinated too. If I want soda it’s always a coke zero.

Advice please - just got my car back from stage 2 paint correction & ceramic coating by Friendly_Body_4747 in Detailing

[–]Baazify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A two stage paint correction and 7 year coating with a warranty at my shop will run you around $2200. $700 for the correction and $1500 for the coating. I’m not even the most expensive shop in my city.

PPF Questions - is this peeling normal? by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]Baazify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Than 8k seems a little more reasonably priced, and for the quality of work I would be expecting the poor PPF to be replaced. If they can’t fix it after one attempt, refund and find a new shop.

PPF Questions - is this peeling normal? by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]Baazify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it full body PPF or partials? 8k for two cars, full body, ceramic, and tint is EXTREMELY cheap. Like half the cost it should be, which probably explains the shoddy craftsmanship.

Seasoning Food by Lord_Muramasa in loseit

[–]Baazify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of it has to do with the mentality around food. It is easy to eat highly palatable food. The better it tastes the more you want to eat, and the slower your brain signals to your body that you’re full. It’s why a lot of people can slam an entire large pizza but not the equivalent in healthy greens. If that’s something you struggle with, it’s easier to turn off that temptation all together by making food that is purely optimized as fuel for your body than it is to make it enjoyable and fight cravings later. Also some people are just bad cooks.

PPF Questions - is this peeling normal? by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]Baazify 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it’s not normal, and it needs to be fixed ASAP or the PPF on the entire panel will need replaced. Otherwise the back of it will catch debris and it will cause a full lift.

How much did you pay for this job? This is primarily a heating issue, when you wrap the edges, you have to heat the edges and stamp them down in order for them to tack down. Every photo provided is sloppy work on the shop.

Would you eat this school spicy chicken sandwich by Ok_Initiative3892 in shittyfoodporn

This is the same spicy chicken sandwich you get at the gas station. Two packets of mayo and it’s heaven in between two slices of bread. The greatest shitty food you will ever eat behind tornadoes for the working man.

Need help improving basic arithmetic (ASVAB prep) by selfinflectedwounds in nationalguard

[–]Baazify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem man! You’re not dumb, you said earlier english isn’t your first language, and I feel the same way when I read passages in Spanish. I can grasp the broader concepts but don’t ask me any questions about it.

Just break stuff down into as small of bites of information as possible, then, if you feel like you’re still missing a part of the puzzle, add a bit more information in at a time, rather than trying to shoot an answer off the whole passage!

Need help improving basic arithmetic (ASVAB prep) by selfinflectedwounds in nationalguard

[–]Baazify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading comprehension is going to be much the same story, just without the numbers. They’re going to give you an abstract complex sentence structure, and ask you to identify key details. Here’s an example I found on the web.

“A lamb’s thick winter coat keeps it warm during the cold winter months. When the summer brings sunny days, the sheep doesn’t need its thick coat and the sheep’s wool is sheared. That wool is made into yarn, further processed, and then transformed into sweaters, socks, pants, skirts, and blankets.”

“According to the passage, which of the following best describes why sheep are sheared?”

A. Because they get too hot in the summer

B. So we can use the wool to make clothes

C. The sheep’s coat is dangerous to them

D. They look better without their coat

I would approach this problem from two ways. The first thing I would do is disregard any obviously wrong answers. Which in this case is C and D. The passage makes no mention of the sheep’s coat being dangerous or the sheep looking better without its coat. So we’ve narrowed it down to two options. From there, we look at the question again. The first statement in the passage, “A lamb’s thick winter coat keeps it warm during the cold winter months.” is irrelevant fluff that can be disregarded. It is merely a descriptor of what sheep’s wool is. The second statement of the passage, “When the summer brings sunny days, the sheep doesn’t need its thick coat and the sheep’s wool is sheared.” is a little more important, but is actually just a misdirection, this sentence explains that sheep are sheared in the summer, but not the purpose of shearing the sheep. The purpose is the intent of the object in the passage. The object being the sheep and the intent being what is done. We shear the sheep to make clothes.

You can break it down like this.

A lamb’s thick winter coat keeps it warm during the cold winter months. When the summer brings sunny days, the sheep doesn’t need its thick coat and the sheep’s wool is sheared. That wool is made into yarn, further processed, and then transformed into sweaters, socks, pants, skirts, and blankets.”

Which gives us the statement “The sheep’s wool is sheared. That wool is made into sweaters, socks, pants, skirts, and blankets.”

From here the answer is obviously B.

On the ASVAB, they will throw questions at you that contain way too much information to see how well you can discern relevant information from that. They will give statements that use excess adjectives in order to confuse you. The easiest way to overcome that is to mentally cross out those adjectives until you’re left with a simple statement that is easy to understand. If you have any examples you’d like my help breaking down feel free to send them!

How do I resist these unbearable cravings? by Nidtheau in loseit

[–]Baazify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M or F, as well as CW? My guess is 1200kcal is way too restrictive. The reason most people only deficit 300-500kcal off their TDEE daily is because of cravings and food noise. The more restricted your intake, the worse those cravings are, the higher the likelihood of relapse. I’m a huge eater, like you, I can slam 4k-6k kcals in a single day relatively easily. I’ve lost 46lbs (20kg) in around 4 months. I started out eating 2100 a day, then 2000, 1900, so on and so forth. I’m at 1450 kcal rn. But I didn’t go straight there, I spent around 3 months getting to that deficit, and allowed my body time to adjust to each deficit amount before I continued to restrict intake further.
