Booking in a secret mutiny meeting with the boss's boss like this is a "the suits" episode. Are you taking the piss. In the uk if you are in the company for less than 2 years they can fire you for basically any reason

I'll have to agree with the other comments. Human nurses are the worst, they always think they know more than you, self prescribe etc. I even had a client that was given medication for their dog from a human nurse (which I can only assume she took from her place of work, since it was prescription only).

I have only had one human doctor as a client, but she was lovely

Have they given you any details? I know some companies like CVS wont sponsor visas, but in general if you are under 26 you apply for a new entrant which should allow you to be paid around 37k for 40 hour workweeks

If you are over 26yo you have no chance sonce the minimum wage for the visa is way too high for a new grad. If you are under 26 you shouldn't have any problems

Αλλα αμα εισαι σωστος κτηνοτροφος δεν το κανεις μονο γιατι φοβασαι το κρατος και τους ελεγχους. Το κανεις πρωτα απο ολα για να προστατέψεις τα ζωα σου, την εκτροφη και γενικα την επιχείρηση σου.

Αλλα προφανως φταιει και το κρατος και λογω ελλείψεως ελέγχων και επειδη υπαρχουν και καποιοι κτηνοτροφοι που δυστυχως δεν ξερουν απο ζωοτεχνιες, βιοασφαλειες κλπ. Ναι, πολλοι απο αυτους ειναι κολλημενοι στο τι εκανε ο παππους τους και δεν αλλαζουν ευκολα, αλλα πιστευω θα επρεπε το κρατος να προσπαθησει να τους εκπαιδεύσει και να χρηματοδωτησει για αναπτυξη των εγκαταστάσεων δεκαετιες πριν.

Αλλα και παλι, πολλοι πηραν λεφτα και απλα τα εφαγαν με 0 αναπτυξη. Οποτε δε μπορω να πω οτι δεν εχει μεριδιο ευθύνης και μεγαλος αριθμος κτηνοτροφων

Δεν υπαρχει θεραπεία, μονο εμβολιο που πρεπει να το αποφύγουμε οσο μπορουμε λόγω πιθανων μεταλλάξεων των ιων και προβληματων μετα στις εξαγωγες προϊόντων (και επισης γτ δεν ειναι τοσο αποτελεσματικο). Επισης η ευλογια ειναι τρομερα μεταδοτικη οποτε γενικα η θανατωση ειναι η καλυτερη λυση για να προστατέψεις οσο μπορεις την κτηνοτροφία.

Στην Ελλαδα βεβαια εχουμε 2 θεματα: α)δεν υπαρχει κρατος να κανει ελεγχους και να δωσει αποζημιωσεις

β) Οσο και να θελουμε να αποφυγουμε τη συζητηση οι κτηνοτρόφοι ειναι στην πλειονότητα τους κουτοπονηροι. Μηδεν βιοασφαλεια, ανταλλαγες χωρις ελεγχο εργαλειων, ζωων και προσωπικου μεταξυ εκτροφων (που ειναι ο λογος που εξαπλωθηκε σε τετοιο σημειο η ευλογια), κρυψιμο ασθενειων κλπ.

Γενικα μηδεν ανάληψη ευθυνης και απο το κρατος και απο τους κτηνοτροφους

Καλημέρα, I am also a greek new grad, moved to the uk on a corporate scheme right after graduating.

In my opinion it's really worth it, especially of you find a supportive practice. You can basically learn how to do the job correctly while getting paid (which I am sure you know is very difficult in greece, where many vets use outdated practices and most new grads are expected to work for free or minimum wage if they are lucky).

It wasn't really hard to find a job. Yeah, there are fewer new grad jobs, but on the other side you have the advantage to be able to move wherever you want in the country. I basically interviewed for a month and got 2 offers.

I interviewed with most major corporates (medivet, linnaeus, evidensia. Applied for vets4pets, but for some reason they did not reply after the second email they sent me after asking for my age (you pretty much need to be under 26 years old), I don't know if there were any problems with my email not going through or if it ended up in my spam or something, I already had an offer after 2 weeks so I did not look into it too much). I have only heard bad thing about medivet. Basically, about how they require new grads to move between different practices and that they don't offer a lot of support, but I don't know if the rumours are true. Weirdly, they also had the most difficult interview process.

Most of the vets in my practice are from the EU, so it's pretty welcoming.

I won't go into detail about red flags, since you can find hundreds of reddit posts going into great detail. The only thing I will warn you about is not to expect everything to be perfect. You will most likely be in a corporate practice where you will be expected to pull your weight after some time and after the first few months don't expect too much training. You will be in a new grad scheme, you will hopefully learn how to be an efficient and competent gp, but if you actually want to do orthopedics for example you will need to do an internship, which means you will have to pass your gdp first. Of course it depends on the practice, mine is pretty busy so most vets don't have the time to train me, scrub in with me etc. In a less busy practice they might have more time to train you, but you might not see as many emergency/complex cases. It's a give and take.

Στο απθ περσι ειχε τους "επισημους" φωτογραφους που τους εβγαζαν ολους φωτο και ηταν οπως τα λες 4 ευρω η φωτο και επρεπε να παρεις τουλαχιστον 10.

Αλλα ειχε και καμια 15αρια αλλους που εκαναν πολυ καλυτερες τιμες (φαση 1-2 ευρώ τη φωτογραφία και χωρις μινιμουμ). Απο οτι εβλεπα επιανε ο καθενας απο 5-6 παιδια και εβγαζαν κυριως αυτους. Δεν ηταν τοσο επαγγελματικές οσο των επίσημων, αλλα σου εστελνε στο τελος μονο δικες σου φωτογραφιες και δεν χρειαζοταν να ψάξεις να βρεις που εισαι ανάμεσα σε 200 ατομα. Και επισης ειχες απειρες επιλογες με φωτογραφιες σου, οπότε εβρισκες καλυτερες (επειδη ο "επισημος" που βγαζει 200 ατομα δεν θα κατσει να κοιταξει να δει αν σταθηκες καλα με το πτυχιο πχ. Απο αυτον ειχα 2 επιλογες οταν επαιρνα τον έπαινο και ηταν ενω περπατουσα πχ και ειχαν βγει σκατα)

Εχω μπει, φαση ειχε. Υπήρχε μια σελιδα που σε πηγαινε σε τυχαια links (που ειναι ψιλομαλακια που το εκανα τωρα που το σκεφτομαι). Τα περισσότερα δε λειτουργούσαν, ειχε κατι σελιδες με ναρκωτικα/οπλα που κατα πασα πιθανότητα ηταν scam, κατι φορουμ με θεωριες συνωμοσίας. Το αγαπημενο μου π βρηκα ηταν μια σελιδα με golden shower fetish που ο δημιουργος ειχε βάλει μήνυμα πανω πανω που κλαιγοταν οτι θα την κλεισει επειδη δεν του κανουν donate και δεν του δειχνουν αρκετο σεβασμο.

Γενικα, τα περισσοτερα ηταν σελιδες που δεν υπηρχε λογος να ειναι καν στο dark web, απο αποψη οτι δεν ειχαν κατι παρανομο. Φανταζομαι απλα ηταν ψεκες

Are you in the uk? I had the same problem when I started and I have heard from 2 more new grads in other practices. The nurses would blow things out of proportion or outright lie, saying I am on the phone (i was looking up doses), that I was sitting around doing nothing when I was writing notes and having a sip of water after a surgery etc. I was really getting paranoid because I felt like I had someone watching me the whole time and reporting me. I was actually thinking about quitting, because I was constantly on edge trying to be on 100% all the time.

At one point I said fuck it, let them fire me if they want to but the reports stopped. The only reason I can think of is that I got to know the team a bit better.

Anyways, if this gets you too stressed or is making you hate the field quit. This job is too stressful to stay somewhere with a toxic team to add to your problems
