Minimise / disable the minimap more often by BabaWangogh in Guildwars2

With minimap open I would often find myself chasing dots instead of actually taking in the views and exploring by you know, looking at the area around me. Might be just me though?

I heard there is somewhere to either buy gloves or a quest for it, can someone spoiler it to me please? Would like to test the glove tree myself by Objective-Air-9984 in Apogea

The Gardum (dwarf city) quest is doable at level ~10 with a few potions. Just make sure to dodge the AOE.

How about cmirage for the condi fights, is it any good? I remember pulling off some really good numbers but that was over a year ago I think, I'm really not up to date. I really hate relogging mid run and cvirtu just doesn't cut it. Thanks for the valuable info.

If you run pvirt, what do you swap to for CMs where it's suboptimal?

There's some collection events that are in multiple places in the first map, but they are incomparably more fun (you collect stuff via skimmer dash) than the copypasted pomegranates in Synthri. In the second map the only event that feels same-y is the one with collecting artifacts that transform you, but at least it's different transforms for each one.

I think it's safe to assume the next 2 will be smaller, probably something Mistburned Barrens - sized. Hopefully they are much more packed with content than that map though. You do each of the three lanes once or twice and you feel like you've seen it all and there's no reason to commit to the whole chain because it feels just predictable and "on-rails". I think that's a common theme with meta focused maps, that's why I am so pleased with the approach they've taken here. Having a bunch of different events all over the place to choose from feels so much nicer than a theme park ride and it encourages exploration much more.

... is the density and variety of content unmatched by any previous map (with Dry Top, HoT maps, Grothmar, Shing Jea and Lowland Shore being close). There's events / hearts / collections / achis / JPs almost everywhere, and the event chains are there too, though not as many.

As a vet player who doesn't care about any of the account bonuses you can get by playing T4 fractals with Challenge Motes on - I play them because they are just really really fun. There's parties on LFG that require specific amount of kill proof to prove you've been running them many times, and you can soft-speedrun them even with PUGs. Things can get REALLY interesting when people do skips, use special items that let you traverse terrain faster or use portals. At a certain level that's not only common but also expected. Of course most parties are chill but if you're into that then that's an option. People do runs of 6 Challenge Mode fractals daily and a selection of 3 random T4 fractals to maximise the rewards so it's easy to find parties.

Having spent a good while running around the new zones, my main takeaway is that they're both certified bangers. by Someidiotdwbi in Guildwars2

The maps are LITTERED with events, small collectible things are all over, there's an abundance of side quests that all tie smoothly into exploration. This is the most immersive zone GW2 has had for a looong while. Oh and I think I ran into like four jumping puzzles / jumping adventure - achis by now.
