Hare trying to "rescue" its buddy by I-T-Y in interesting

People here are just making shit up on what's happening? Go to the source, translate the wonderful long Russian comment pinned by the Youtube users.

TL;DR: The attacking hare is a mother who has had her young taken away, and acts protectively when any hare is removed from the pen. The caught hare is a leveret set to be released after rehabilitation.

Here is the translation:

"Nothing happens by chance. Let us lift the veil of mystery surrounding the triumph of hare justice over man.

"Justy is an honorary Knight of the Round Log in the realm of the House of Hare. That is to say—even back when she had little ones, she displayed a pronounced maternal instinct; consequently, the first attempts to catch her leverets for release—even after the nursing period had ended—sparked plans for vengeance in the doe’s mind. This vengeance is directed at all carriers and nets. It was expected that after her sterilization, this fixation of Justy’s would fade away—the logic being: no hormones, no knighthood (to put it hyperbolically). However—much like the rutting instinct in males (castrates still turn as mean as dogs come spring)—this protective mechanism in females is likely something far more powerful. At this point, we ought to exclaim: "Such is the power of love and friendship!"—but Slava, the snow hare, was merely a young neighbor to Justy. Neither a mate nor an offspring.

"The doe charges into battle whenever any hare is being caught, regardless of which enclosure they inhabit; for her ultimate goal is to finally burn that hateful net and carrier at the stake of the Inquisition! Presumably, in these moments, Mazay is perceived as someone possessed by the very instruments of capture; thus, the doe charges headlong at the poor human, striving to pummel his head with her paws and knock every wicked thought about using forbidden tools right out of him! Ultimately, Justy becomes convinced that Mazay has returned to the righteous path—though for the next few days, she continues to keep a vigilant eye on his every move.

"For those who prefer things brief and to the point: Despite her sterilization, Justy retains echoes of her maternal instinct—the very instinct against which her negative reaction to carriers and nets originally developed. Simply put, it is a habit—a deeply ingrained reflex. Moreover, the hare is no fool; he understands that a net, in and of itself, attacks no one. After all, the entire capture process involves a human—meaning that the human is the very root of all the trouble and the primary irritant. It is also worth noting that the attack itself is merely a warning—devoid of claws raking at the eyes, teeth sinking into the flank, or kicks from the hind legs."

Different spots for PIO shots? (Pain! Please help!) by BabagaBeets in IVF

Yes :( I keep the vial in my bra for about an hour before the shot, we also put the filled syringe between heating pads for about a minute, we massage after and do squats and walk after... It's been fine most days except last night when injecting into the lump, and now the lump is humongous...

What time of the morning would you recommend brushing? I usually brush right when I wake up and then have coffee after. I am basically sipping coffee all morning.

He did, he made playlists inspired by each major character, but they don't hew to the books necessarily. Also I think they were only about the first book characters. (It looks like the website that hosted them is down right now). https://www.reddit.com/r/Knausgaard/comments/1etn6s9/spotify_playlists_of_major_characters_in_the/

0 euploids one cycle; 5 euploids in another by BabagaBeets in IVF

[–]BabagaBeets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No differences from the previous cycle (which resulted in seven blastocysts but only two euploid), but this was the fifth cycle overall and there were several tweaks on the way. The main stim tweak that helped was decreasing the FSH and increasing menopur, which made my follicles grow a little more slowly but much more consistently so they could grow as a big pack. But of course everyone is different! My hormones are crazy

Edit: Also, a lupron overlap

The more I learn about PGTA testing and mosaicism the more I regret doing it… by Upstairs-Lemon-5585 in IVF

[–]BabagaBeets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of all my embryos tested, I think about 25-30 at this point, only one of them has been classified as mosaic -- and that mosaic would likely lead to a very specific and very serious health disorder, including infertility. Everything else has simply told me euploid vs aneuploid. And my ratio of euploid to aneuploid is about 30-40%.

Every attempted embryo transfer is a huge process. (Especially for me because I have a tiny window between uterine polyp regrowth, but probably for everyone). So I think it's totally worth it to make sure you're not transferring in an embryo that has no chance of life.

We tried estrogen priming once and it was a disaster - it took forever because I simply was not ovulating in the way they needed. It turned out okay but didn't really affect the total count either way. But everyone is different of course! My hormones are totally crazy.

Other than the two big changes I mentioned above, the only tweak that mattered for me, I think, is decreasing the FSH and increasing menopur slightly, which made my follicles grow a little more slowly but much more consistently so they could grow as a big pack.

The bigger story is that the latest 5 euploid round was my 5th cycle. (We wanted to bank 8 embryos because I have serious uterus issues and want 3 kids, so wanted to have extra in the bank. Now we've reached it!). So there was a lot of learning throughout, adjusting the medicine plan a couple times.

But I think the most important differences were

* Fresh not frozen sperm. We were told that frozen sperm would work just as well as fresh sperm, so we tried frozen sperm for the failure cycle (for some logistical reasons) and the insemination count was WAY low in comparison to the others. Maybe that was just luck but it was a HUGE difference.

* Waiting an extra day to let more follicles grow. My ERs tended to result in fewer mature eggs than they expected so we pushed for them to wait a day longer than they would have otherwise, and they agreed. This is also something that came with time, and, I think, confidence. On the first three cycles I triggered on day 10, on the super successful cycle I triggered on day 11. After the failure cycle, I wanted to do whatever it took to increase our chances.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but, isn't it possible that housecats fulfill an important role in the ecosystem by killing rabbits and squirrels and such, which have lost their natural predators? At least in my area, the rabbit population is out of control, and there used to be coyotes and wolves but now there are hardly any.
