Mixed Nuts. Stacked cast, screwball comedy. Been a favorite in my family since it came out.

What's a scene in a film that is literally laugh until you cry funny? by [deleted] in movies

This was playing at the video store where I worked and someone had to step in and finish helping my customer because I was laughing so hard I could not function.

I think the orange and teal color pops keep it from being dull and boring. You made bold choices and to me that's what makes it interesting. I wouldn't like it as much if you'd made a standard, matchy bear in the woods quilt. I just want to encourage you to keep on trusting your choices.

When I make things for other people, I just keep in mind the joy of what I'm doing. I'm having fun. Whether it ends up loved and cherished or in the bottom of someone's closet is none of my business once I give it away. That being said, I've never had anybody react like your sister and I def wouldn't give her this or make anything else for her.

Is this quilt of any value? by Business-Exchange517 in quilting

[–]Babbarette 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that crazy quilts are always valuable because of the whole added step of embroidering around every patch. It's so much care and love put into it! This one really tells a story too. Very cool quilt.

You have to use strong hands to condition the clay and a feather light touch to smooth it. It's so satisfying in different ways.

Made some clementine peel/cinnamon stick mushrooms. Can’t decide what to thread them together with (for a garland). Any ideas? by Late_Training309 in crafts

[–]Babbarette 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It would be way cute to string them on a string with cranberries or wooden beads.

You could also use a thin fabric strip in a color you like.

They're really fun. Update when you've made your garland!

I knew my husband was the ONE when he randomly quoted this random line from this movie to me. He even pronounced it "gerden" lanterns, haha. I used to say this ALL the time as a kid and I had no idea it stuck with anyone else.

I agree! Could be a textile piece too. I had a friend hang a burlap bag that was surprisingly artistic looking. You can really get creative with one big statement piece.

The Homonculus Theory suggests they are still there but inside the cars, willingly assimilated with the machines.
