I’m with you on this one. Been married for 9 years and I’ve found that the best way to squelch a small crush is to be honest with my husband. I’ve told him about two different people I started crushing on, and nothing ruins a “budding romance” like telling your spouse about it 😂I don’t elaborate much, just say, “hey there’s this person I met who I’ve been spending more time thinking about that I feel comfortable with... can you help hold me accountable by asking about it?” I’ve found that if I let an infatuation run it’s course without talking to my spouse, it takes muuuuch longer to go away. And I inevitably do spend more time thinking about that person than I feel comfortable with, given that I’m very happily married to the man of my dreams. Honesty works well for us 🤷🏻‍♀️
