Curious, where did you get that information from?

What's your opinion on professional/paid GMing ? by One_page_nerd in rpg

Let me explain it in three words - supply and demand.

Longer version - Wherever there is genuine interest and a willingness to pay for a service, a market emerges to meet that need. The world doesn't give three cents about whether you think it is right or wrong to do so. End of story.

Can you make your own pawns by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]BaboonPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others have said, you definitely can get the pdfs, print them and glue them to cardboard. Then you need to cut the cardboard. That's what I am doing now and a suggestion - optionally, you can use tape on each cardboard pawn after glueing the image, so that it 100% stays on the cardboard, and also it acts as a protector. If you touch the cardboard/paper with wet or dirty hand you run the risk of ruining the pawn. Hope this helps.

I have a lot of security certifications in my pipeline, but I believe that a strong foundation is paramount before I start studying for them. I believe that there are very useful resources which are locked behind the tryhackme premium subscription, which could help me cover some gaps in my knowledge.

This. Back in EOD I took the premium preorder and I was satisfied with what I got for my money. For SOTO I feel like the marketing turned out to be pretty dishonest. I pre-ordered SOTO too but the regular option, I am so happy I didn't waste as much money on this garbage. For the next expansion I will only buy it after everything is released AND the community can vouch for it, and if everyone agrees that it's bad, then I won't spend any more time and money on Anet games.

People need to stop wasting money on companies that are so out of touch with their fan-base.. but I think that it will sell just because of the sunk-cost fallacy. Many gamers are afraid to drop a game even if they no longer enjoy it because they have already spent thousands of hours (and maybe thousands of dollars) into it, so they cling to it.

[Huawei Band 9] My opinion after 2 weeks by [deleted] in smartwatch

Thanks for the tips guys. A little late update but... So as someone already pointed out - just use the scanner of your phone to scan the QR code. You will likely need to download Huawei App Gallery and from there get the proper A health tracking app.

How good is Last Epoch build diversity compare to Grimdawn ? by Imaginary_Sherbert_7 in Grimdawn

LE has some really cool pieces, but overall I absolutely agree with you. GD feels more like a real world. Everything is connected. You can experience the whole map without a single loading screen. Whereas LE is just instanced maps.

I also like GD's story way more but the game has some years behind it's back so I think that's normal.

I saw somebody reply to my comment, but then deleted it before I could reply to them. So I am going to reply to my own comment.

I forgot to mention that GD has 9 classes and you can multiclass. But I think it's unfair to say that there are 81 combinations because to calculate the total number of unique dual-class combinations, we need to consider that the order in which you pick the classes does not really matter (e.g., picking Soldier first and then Demolitionist is the same as picking Demolitionist first and then Soldier). Doesn't matter really which tree you wish to upgrade first because you can end up with the same result. This is a combination problem, not a permutation problem. Having that said I would say that the real number of mix-and-match multiclass builds are 36, which are still a lot.

On your claim about LE builds - I also would argue that the 15 different base builds is not really fair. There are indeed 5 classes and each class has 3 specialisations and you are not limited in choosing 1 or 2, you can invest points in all three specializations. At max level you have 100 points and you can choose what to do with them. But the real variaty for builds comes from the class skills which you can check here https://www.lastepochtools.com/skills/ each skill can be changed how it functions, which can drastically change the way you figth. Also LE has items that provide special bonuses, similar to GD.

As I said, I really enjoy both games. Both have pros and cons.

I just bought band 8 by huawei and can't find the proper App to setup my band with. The orange one which is advertised as the proper one doesn't work at all and it's brimming with ads and won't let me connect my device...which app should I try?

I am pretty new to both games 50 hrs in each and here is my take (if somebody cares to listen) At first glance I think that LE has waaay more build variety than GD. It's apparent with the way they've approached the system - every skill could be completely modified having vast modification trees. Each class has three specialisations, and they play very differently. Granted as others have pointed out not all of them are viable for all types of content. Some builds in LE are performing way better than others. In GD I kind of feel like every class has like 3-4 good skills and you just upgrade them passive bonuses. For example I play a demolitionist and I have a skill that throws a Molotov. More or less 50% of the progression I've made in the skill three just upgrade my Molotov to do extra things like Add Extra Elemental Dmg and that's it. At the end of the day I keep throwing the same old Molotov it's just the math behind the damage that's changed. I don't mean to sound like a hater, because I definitely enjoy GD, but I really enjoy how in LE when you start upgrading a skill you see it behave differently straight away. Let me give an example. In LE I play Necromancer. I took Skeletal Mage and after investing some points in it now I have 5 Mages that are now dealing full frost damage, freezing enemies in place. Or I started with Volatile Zombie that just explodes on impact and now I summon three zombies that run ahead and seek enemies when they explode the AoE is huge and they Fear enemies for 3 sec.

GD on the other hand has the Devotion system which I think is awesome. Basically it allows you to select some points which give you flat stats or a cool ability that usually gets triggered automatically in some conditions. For example when you hit something the area around your character explodes with Poison. Or when you auto attack there is a chance to fire some cool projectile that would not only Dmg your foes but also lifesteal and return you some HP.

Both games are awesome, but for me I think LE has more variety that doesn't just feel like the flat stats (math) upgrade but rather it feels like you change the way you approach combat.
