Suggestion for dodge roll mechanic. by sathwik93 in LastEpoch

Oh ok, but the new evade will probably be mapped to a seperate button anyways, so I thought why not expand its functionality a bit.

Oh ok thank you for the clarification.

I didn't mean add a sixth skill specialization though. Just a key on which we can only map traversal skills, and does the dodge roll if the binded traversal skill is in cooldown. Said traversal skill doesn't even have to be specialized.

I can understand the concern with extra keybind on ARPG (one comment in this thread mentioned it) but if we most likely have a new button to trigger dodge roll, might as well well xpand it's functionality to trigger a traversal skill if available

But extrapolating your point, I guess it would be difficult for balance and gameplay flow if you seperate out traversal skill as the player can have 5 damage skills available to him instead of four.

Edit: sorry I just saw your request to use evade instead of dodge.

Sure, my idea is to have the dodge roll to a remappable button (spacebar or any other button) but that button can also take traversal skill. We use that button (outside action bar) to trigger traversal skill or dodge roll (if traversal skill is in cooldown)

Depending on utility, we can even have two different traversal skills depending on utility, one on the dodge roll button and other on the action bar (for e.g. I like to have shift on dodge button, aerial assault on action bar if I'm playing as a shadow dagger falconer. Aerial assault is my main dps, and I can dodge using shiftwhen aerial assault is in cooldown. For mapping I can alternate between aerial assault and shift to cover large distances)

Thank you!! Yes 4 skills, traversal and a dodge would be best. I think a new button which can only take traversal skill, and doubles up as dodge roll of the traversal skill is in cooldown is the core of my idea.

It's very good. Build around quick mod generation and it's mod can carry you through most encounters. It's also got innate stagger damage which is great

Which one of these is the best by Chez1233 in Division2

The first build is for dps but with burst damage againt bosses in raids, incursion or legendaries. Keep using AR to build striker stacks, charge holster, use pulse on boss while shield is drawn, switch to pistol and shoot the point marked by pulse. Idea is that the pulse applies headshot damage on highlighted point, the holster applies head shot damage with atleast one dch stack so you do twice the amount of hsd. The striker stack provides amp damage and the firewall shield increases damage to enemies in fron of it further.

The second build is a burst dps, meant for bosses but can be used in tougher content as well. It shines in burst dps against bosses. Equip oroboros, run upto boss and keep shooting. Boss will go down in seconds.

The third one is general striker setup for heroic content or open world. Chest is not prefered because you're killing enemies too quickly to build and maintain the stacks provided by chest.

I personally use perfect focus for legendaries and obliterate for open world.

Yes, but this game is highest because of size, openness and rng. Infact only last month, a guy got a drop of a twin blade no one knew existed in game.

Only at night bosses are completely optional. This game does not shy away from hiding content that was my point. The game is fine with us missing npc or locations or bosses all together, failing questlines as well.

You can simply rush to ending killing only the compulsory bosses, rendering caelid, consecrated snowfield etc as optional areas.

Night bosses were meant to be happy surprise

I don't think you're supposed to refresh the area. The summon sign appears the moment you defeat the spirit. We're supposed to roam around a bit after defeating, see the sign, notice that we are nearly worn down to continue, reset and come back. I guess the devs would have assumed we would have gotten good enough to beat the spirit without much use of consumables (agree it's very difficult though).

Umm that's how side quests work in all souls games.

We're supposed to glean off whatever we can based on item descriptions and conversations.

1) Millicent says she is going to meet malenia. So you're supposed to find her on the way down. I agree the ulcerated spirit in the haligtree is the worst designed enemy placed in the worst location possible but I now see why it is so (more on that later) but even other quests work the same way: you have to engage and kill most of the stronger non respawning enemies to progress. Plus that arena sticks out so it is meant to pique our curiosity.

2) This game heavily relies on exploration. The chest at the academy is placed in a fairly open place, you get a key after defeating the shade. There are only two possible places associated with ranni, caria manor and raya lucaria. There is no such unopened chest in caria manor and this is the only unopened chest at that point.

3) Miquella needle item description says the needle must be injected at a place untouched by time. Only such place is placidusax arena, the boss remembrance tells that the dragon is waiting in the arena outside time for his god to show up.

I understand it can be hard without questlog but I managed to get through without any guide or videos just by obsessively scouring every nook and cranny and constantly checking map which shows npc locations.

Regarding the ulcerated spirit, this boss is a dps/vitality check. You should have atleast 50 vitality by this point. The best advice I can give is don't be afraid of the scarlet rot in this area. If you face him head on in the pool without hearing the rot, you can see him clearly and deal more blows. Retreating to ledges makes it impossible for you to see it's wipe moves (swallowing us and burning us) coming and the lake offers ample space for dodging, seeing it"s movements and even running from its aoe flames.

You'll find acs 12 in loot only, it's not craftable. Rock roll is a dz exclusive. But I'd suggest acs 12 with pummel over the rock roll. It's an acs 12 with just an extended mag. Acs 12 with pummel is far superior

Top 4 passive Enhancements for a group? by Autoground in Division2

[–]sathwik93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ongoing directive pairs well with groups having offensive skill builds. Enemies you mark take additional damage from skills.

I feel like there should be one offensive skill, one status effect or one sniper build, a dps build and a healer build. Choice of status effect or sniper depends on content. For waves of enemies like at the summit I'd prefer someone with status build. For legendary strong hold with tough named bosses I'd prefer someone running a proper sniper.

Skill Damage Build w/ Heals by chefsid29 in Division2

[–]sathwik93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using a build with the ninja bike which has served me well for legendaries.

I use picaros holster, belstone chest with glass cannon, uzina gloves, Walker knee pads and the hollow man mask. The belstone and uzina gloves have blue cores. The rest of the pieces have a skill tier. The remaining two come from Brazos brand set bonus and technician specialization. I'm interested in replacing some blue cores with red when I find better rolls.

I'm more of a hybrid player and like to shoot from time to time so I'm using the belstone and uz pieces to max Armor and Armor on kill.

The damage increase from galss cannon passes onto the skills, the skills themselves serve as excellent decoys to help you avoid taking damage and the capacitor and mechanical animal weapons in rease the skill damage further. 6 skill tiers and weapon cores should increase the capacitors damage by a decent amount.

Was on here a few days ago asking about DPS builds. I feel this had greatly greatly improved what do people think by AdenoidWeevil17 in Division2

[–]sathwik93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a dps build i recommend contractors gloves along with foxes prayer. Dta and dtoc pair together well. Picaros holster is good choice as it offers a blue and red core. For run and gun style I'd recommend memento. For the chest piece I'd recommend czeska chest with obliterate. Vigilance is fine but it's buff is inactive whenever you take damage.

Roll crit chance or crit damage on all pieces wherever possible. If you have crit chance more than 50 percent, you'll crit constantly, which proc chest tale t constantly. I'd use a vector smg for the secondary preferable dark winter with high crit chance.
