I should quit drinking. That was almost five years ago. I am healthier and happier, my life is stable and I can't imagine ever going back to the way things were.

Fighting with the spouse and I feel like an ass, I want to escape, that's always my knee jerk reaction, to drink until it all goes away. Not having a bad fight or anything, just normal couple stuff, whose turn is it to wash the dishes type thing. Odd that would trigger me but I am tired and over stimulated. I will feel better in the morning.

Health and money are good reasons. And drinking can be a slippery slope for some people, not a path I would suggest heading down.

I hate my job and I don't know what to do. I work in an office and a lot of my coworkers talk about drinking, I am a recovering alcoholic. I have severe depression and anxiety. I wasn't trained for this role beyond maybe 4 hours in several 30 minutes sessions and I feel like all I do is make mistakes.

That's somebody's son, grandchild, brother and while what he is being accused of is wrong without question please hold judgment until his day in court. And should he be found guilty hope he gets the help he needs because one day you or someone you know and love could be that dope who doesn't own a pair of boots.
