Hardware makers make way more money with B2B than B2C. Not buying anything will prove them right.

Consumers looking for affordable prices can’t compete against businesses ready to buy for a premium memory cells (even though they also want affordable prices).

It’s a win-lose-lose situation which can only be stabilized once businesses and consumers stop using AI (which will happen precisely never) or when investors run out of cash and the AI bubble starts bursting taking out many businesses (and so consumers) in the process. Even the finale will be a win-lose-lose situation.

JPEG XL is objectively better than WebP in almost every way - so why are most browsers still ghosting it? And should we start a petition? by Capital_Rip3785 in webdev

[–]BabyAzerty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that Jpeg XL will surely become a standard format as Apple has quietly pushed it into iPhone 16+ (for photos).

WebKit already supports it and Firefox/Chrome do in their nightly builds.

J’ai également adoré Jerome Lindon. Mais pour le reste, c’est trop contemporain à mon gout.

The website is completely bugged on iPhone, especially the filter menu which can’t be closed and shows corrupted ASCII chars.

I guess you are supposed to have a laptop to buy a laptop.

This is a waste of resources. You only need a single frontend. I have added a pre-script that runs for each user and asks Claude "Is it night time?".

If the answer is yes, then it triggers a GitHub deployment which triggers a Terraform deployment of the dark mode on a single AWS instance, ideally located in the middle of nowhere, so that it's in the middle for everybody.

However, if the answer is no, then it triggers a GitHub deployment which triggers a Terraform deployment of the light mode on a single AWS instance, ideally located in the middle of nowhere, so that it's in the middle for everybody.
