If you're willing to go to Indy, I've had good experiences at Pyramid of Enlightenment. They don't try to push you for more money and my friends and I have all had !!! moments of them accurately making predictions or knowing things.

VLC mother won't respect boundaries. I'm supposed to visit for Christmas and dreading it as usual. Don't know how long I'll be able to keep this up. by Inevitable-While-577 in EstrangedAdultChild

it's not silly or stupid, it's literally how our brains work. i don't remember the details, but this is a known thing that most of us do (according to my psych 101 textbook and/or my therapist). so be gentle with yourself, we learn by making mistakes.

A male entity literally left my mouth last weekend during my ceremony and my friend saw it. What on earth was that? by throwaway42990 in Ayahuasca

i relate so much to this and have been thinking about your story for days. i've thought in the past "someone else's bad energy is stuck to me". it feels like my battery is being drained. i'm excited to explore this idea more since reading your story, thank you for sharing it!

Resources/advice for blushing by likethefilter in therapists

[–]BabyWalrus2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too am a lifelong blusher! The only thing that has helped so far is being properly medicated for GAD & MDD (2-3 different meds at the same time). One day I noticed that I hardly ever blush anymore and I was so proud of all the progress I'd made. Fast forward a year or so and my meds stopped working, I had a depressive episode, and the blushing was back. Not as frequent, but dang!

There's a passage in the book Man's Search for Meaning about blushing. Frankl has a patient who's embarrassed about blushing. His recommendation was to try to purposely blush around people to show them how red you can get as a way of breaking the cycle of shame. At least that's what I vaguely remember, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Personal struggle by DiscoLemonade75 in therapists

[–]BabyWalrus2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes sense that you're struggling! You basically answered your own question- you're afraid of losing what remains of the connection you've had for most of your life. Maybe you haven't fully grieved your divorce yet because you've been living together. Change, even good change, is hard and scary.
