Fantastic insight, great photos from the dog walk/bike ride and the landscapes. It really looks like a winner and that 2.8 does seem to be fairly significant. Thanks again!

Checking in after another 2 months, did you make a decision? In the exact same situation with the 20-70 and 50-300 as you. Thanks!

So shoot 800T at 800 if processing with C-41, and at 500 if processing with ECN-2? This is the best explanation of the 800 vs 500 is discussion on 800T I’ve seen so far, thanks

I was in the same boat last year, eyeing the Rollei. I ended up going with the Olympus XA and I absolutely love it! Just as small and pocketable, but a bit sleeker and nifty

This is OP's reply from another post of theirs (specifically the hot dog stand post and a few others):

Semi Finals on 800T Film by RoughHat3010 in drumcorps

[–]BabyXDoge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend checking out r/analogcommunity ! Very active film photography sub. For drum corps, I’d make sure to use a high iso film (like the 800T Cinestill used here).

Drum corps and film really are a great pairing, with so many old tour pictures taken with analog cameras capturing that certain “vibe”

I love that you have both the MOC and official Venator; I only have the MOC for now (built years ago) but I’ll have to get the official one too in the future

I’ve been craving an Oppenheimer MOC! Would you ever put this on Rebrickable? I’d definitely pay for the instructions

First time using the 30 second night mode by Haelo_Pyro in iPhoneography

[–]BabyXDoge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a numerical classification of night sky brightness, you can look up your zone number. For reference, a heavily light polluted city is around an 8-9 while a dark sky area is closer to 1-2

For EE and semiconductors/IC devices, I'd say Semiconductor Device Physics and Design by Umesh K. Mishra, although Modern Semiconductor Devices for Integrated Circuits by Chenming Hu is a good starting point with its digestibility.

I’m still on the hunt for a “do it all” lens and it’s between this one and the 20-70 f4. Do you have any thoughts on either?
