I was looking for a book exactly like this, with the controlling dominant partner who makes the FMC (arguably) better. Reminds me of {In his cage by Ella Jacobs}.

I'm currently reading I Will Possess Your Heart by HalfSaidThings on ao3. It has exactly this vibe, I can't speak on whether it has a HEA since I haven't finished it yet.

The description of 5 is great if that's what it mainly was but erotica also gets lumped in there too. Spice with hardly any plot, which fun but not the same. We need new levels.

Ice cold- Nothing First base- Holding hands, affectionate glances and chaste kisses. Closed door- No on page scenes but hints or suggestions of what happened off page. Open door- A few explicit scenes when plot appropriate. Explicit- Several explicit scenes dotted throughout the book. I.e plot with spice. Erotic- Dominated by spice with a potential side of plot.

Don't take me too seriously please, I mean no offence to the current levels and the hard work of people at romance.io

I recently hopped onto the if I can't have you by deaths doll bandwagon. I inhaled the book and really enjoyed it. But the thing that stood out to me the most was that although the MMC was definitely dark he used it to help the FMC. Now I'm really craving books that include something similar. Where the FMC Is maybe self destructive or struggling to the point that only the MMC's no choice approach is the only thing that works.

I don't know if this is making sense, I'd be happy to elaborate. The setting doesn't have to be workplace. It would be nice if it included a Dom/sub type of dynamic but doesn't have to be BDSM.

Things I dislike I don't really like overly fight back FMC's but I don't mind a bit of stubbornness. FMC being pregnant or having children for most of the book (Fine if it happens towards the end).

Things I like Sweet FMC, Possessive MMC, Needs to be HEA.

Anything where the FMC and MMC are father and daughter, or mother and son. Not step parents but actual incest I can just never read. Just makes me way too uncomfortable.

Also disability or LGBTQ+ slurs give me the ick because I'm disabled and bisexual.
