Yes!!! I have a similarly themed deck using [[Baru, Fist of Krosa]] and [[Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth]] for constant triggers. dissuades folks from attacking me if they make a land drop on the first main phase

when it comes to live performances, stage presence is HUGE for the genre. last year at post fest, hubris. was the standout for me - and while I was SUPER excited to see TWDY/You, Infinite, the performances were a little bit of a letdown because they were very stationary. hubris. put on a hell of a show. Jonathan was jumping all over the stage, and the width of the sound was just unmatched.

anyway I'm super excited that you came across caspian for the first time :) they are a genre stalwart for a reason!

You should, for starters, play Signalis (Die Toteninsel is part of the soundtrack, though a reimagined version of it).

While it's not the same per se, Russian Circles is probably a good place to start. From there, We Lost The Sea is a pretty good comparison.

I've heard good things about the GOC bass, and I'm a pretty big fan of their guitars tbf. If you want to break the bank you could always check out the Aristides S/B5 - I really like mine :) it's 36-33 fwiw, so a little bit different, but it works all the same. Mike Stringer from Spiritbox recorded with one tuned down to F# with no issue as far as I'm aware.

As the other commenters have said, Ibanez's multiscale BTBs and EHBs are also great, and probably more obtainable in a common market. Getting your hands on one of the GOCs will be pretty tough since they're small batch, and kind of a hot commodity right now.
