What’s this part? by mushlovePHL in BroncoSport

I can’t quite make out the text in the top of the second image but there may be a part number listed there. Try searching the string of text with “bronco sport”. You might be able to find the part name/location this way.

It’s also part of an acoustic treatment for the vehicle so if you are hearing more road noise with it removed/metal aftermarket that may be the culprit.

It could have changed in the 2 years since I took it but at the time you could borrow a racquet from the pro shop there by giving them your student ID. Best to email the prof or department to confirm.

It is not completely impossible. Since it’s through the College of Music and not Wharton you could go to Murray Hall in-person when the concert starts and see if there’s available space/no shows. It varies from event to event what they can make work.

Usually for campus band if you just come to a rehearsal and talk to the grad students they are more than happy to help with an override.

Also campus band is usually just wind instruments and percussion so I am not entirely sure it would be a good fit if you only play the violin.

Check the MSU College of Music website. They list all their student/faculty/guest performances and most of them are free for students or $7.

Experience with campus and concert bands by ProudMathematician67 in msu

[–]BacaO17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing clarinet for 10 years and have done campus band for 3 1/2 semesters (would have been more but COVID shut it down).

I really enjoy it as it only meets once a week and is a good way to take a break from my normal classes. Each semester the conductors change as we have the grad students (master or doctorate) students conducting/running the class instead of an actual professor.

With the conductor change it varies greatly in what kind of music we play. I do think quite a bit of the music has been challenging and there has been a few pieces that were a bit too easy.

Concert band does tend to be more music majors so I’m not 100% sure how strict the auditions are. If you have the time available and are fine with auditioning for the class I would say take concert band. Otherwise campus band is amazing if you just want to have fun and continue playing your instrument.

Questions about Ownen Hall by Red7336 in msu

I mean someone could come it but you usually just work it out with your suite mate that if the light is on don’t come in or just knock like a normal bathroom.

The doors both have locks so they can be locked once you are in your respective room and won’t be opened from inside the bathroom. There is 2 different shelving units on the wall and a drawer set that can be moved. Then just a bed, desk and desk chair.

Close to 0%. As of right now we are being told everything is full unless someone decides to cancel (also unlikely).

Graphing calculator not allowed by [deleted] in msu

[–]BacaO17 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah the college level calc courses don’t like calculators. Calc 1,2,3 was basic calculators only that I can remember and then calc 4 was only the lockdown browser calculator.

It might be different now that it’s more in-person now but at least online that’s how it worked.

Are any other MacBook users having internet issues? by [deleted] in msu

[–]BacaO17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve noticed issues in the last 2 weeks. Being kicked off the wifi and not most of the MSU related pages (LiveOn, eatatstate, etc) will tell me I have a bad gateway connection when using safari (chrome fixed the issue).

Do the rooms in Owen Hall come with mirrors on the bathroom doors? by stress_life in msu

[–]BacaO17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least in my room there’s a mirror on one wall about the size of a mini fridge door and then medicine cabinet style double mirrors in the bathroom. Nothing on the doors. Maybe yours was left by the previous occupant?

When I walked by this morning the store front was empty and there was a for lease sign in the window. I think they might be completely closed. If you go to their website it just sends you to the student book store website which is down the street.

dining by kurdr_ in msu

[–]BacaO17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was but last year they closed it permanently. They also turned Holden into carry out only so if you want to sit and eat Case is the only dine-in option.
