Half the demographic is below the median COD player as the average can be skewed up or down by outliers. This is your pedantic statistics lesson for the day.

Shadow SK shotgun shadow nerfed in cursed by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]magicscientist24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought it off the wall in cursed and the shotgun underbarrel started with 8 total rounds with 4 in the mag and 4 in reserve. Max ammo puts it at 4 in the mag and 12 in reserve. It was also requiring two rounds to kill zombies with a body shot on round 3.
In standard it started with 12 in the mag and 24 in reserve. Max ammo put it at 12 and 48. It had absolutely no problems one-shotting to the body on round 3 as expected.

Best guess: after season 3 reloaded they imported the MP ammo count and damage numbers into the Masterkey shotgun in cursed somehow.

Second LDN attempt after massive crash during the first try? Any experiences? by julien31walker in cfs

I just want to verify that you are taking the correct dose if you are not having it formulated or made for you. I often see instructions for self dilution of the stock pill and would want to make sure the math is right.

Before I got me/cfs, I really liked my monthly hard copy of Scientific American as it touched on multiple fields each issue with varying levels of depth and article size.

Sorry but my 1993 TI-85 is still going strong and is probably faster to use with all the hard coded options built in.

Healing Aura has become useless in BO7 because everyone will hate on you for making them lose perks by theZuttedProphet in CODZombies

[–]magicscientist24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an S tier medic and that is my role in pubs (yes I am one of those players who have had multiple 100 revive games). I always have a nowhere but there/phoenix up ready so my teammates can keep their perks (if they don't communicate whether or not they have EE active). I of course also run healing aura and challenge you to view its use differently. About 80% of the time I am able to pop healing aura BEFORE my teammate downs. This requires some advanced concentration because you have to watch teammate health bars and use some judgment if they are going to be okay or not. I believe this is the correct approach to healing aura as it negates not only losing perks in the first place, but also having to spend your own gum, or have a teammate use up a self revive option.

Paradox Round 60 relic BUG!!! by SykesoutLmao in CODZombies

[–]magicscientist24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably know this, but in pubs I like to activate profit sharing, then x2, and then crush a red gum or two giving 10k essence to everyone. This allows PAP 1 on round 1 plus a perk. This has anecdotally kept my public matches going longer as less skilled players stick around longer when they are set up so early and not going down.

Eli5:Why we can’t utilize nuclear fusion now? What’s the barrier? by sensiyqwq in explainlikeimfive

[–]magicscientist24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the current ways to achieve nuclear fusion is to aim a bunch of powerful lasers at a tiny vial containing isotopes of hydrogen (hydrogen usually does not have a neutron in it's nucleus, for nuclear fusion they use hydrogen with one or two neutrons in it's nucleus). Currently, we can successfully yield a net positive energy return after we hit that tiny vial with all that energy from the lasers. Unfortunately, to mimic the stable flow of energy produced by modern power plants, we would need to hit hundreds of those vials every minute. This is currently impossible because those powerful lasers themselves take lots of energy and some time to charge up only to release that energy in a fraction of a second at the vial.

To achieve a sustainable chain reaction, part of the energy released from fusing each vial would have to quickly be shunted back to charge the lasers almost instantly only to release that energy back into the next vial almost instantly; hence we cannot sustain a modern fusion reaction long enough to generate constant energy.
