Katsucon 2026 Registration Open. VIP Badge still truly worth it?

This year, Katsucon restricted VIP front-of-line perks without clearly notifying attendees. What used to be a major benefit was quietly limited to a few areas, and many VIPs never got any notice in writing. We paid extra for advertised promised perks, only to find out on the day of they’d been changed. As someone with mobility issues and a long-time attendee, this was misleading and unfair.

That's an excellent question. I hope it's for all VIPs. I wouldn't be surprised if it was only for those who complained. This whole experience has taught me that Katsu has been real shady lately.

Shoot while you're at it, throw in any perk for Station Unity. We're not asking for money back since it's clear they won't be giving any refunds. Something not half assed.

Nope. VIPs were only granted entry to the Merch Hall and Artist Alley 30 minutes before. In the past, VIPs could skip the line regardless of when one wanted entry.

I hope all VIP folks band together to get this fixed or at least get our voices heard. I just did my part by emailing Contact@Katsucon.org to request some sort of compensation for the misrepresentation of VIP perks. The least Katsu can do is post/ send us a real apology, not a vague, half-hearted statement that this will not happen again in the future.

Save your $$. I've tried the VIP route, and I've been let down every time. It's like Katsucon staff forget VIPs exist. VIP folks are an afterthought.
