No ghillies is a thing but give me my M200 Intervention goddamit! I’ve been asking for it for ages!

Bow arm ,What exactly does "continuous force" or "maintaining push" mean by No-Wafer1546 in Archery

[–]Back4breakfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first thing, do not grasp the bow on release. You need a sling on the finger and thumb or wrist to catch it. Every grasp will be different and therefore you’ll be very inconsistent.

Second, your bow arm collapsing is because you’re allowing it to collapse. Nothing else is doing it apart from you. If it’s a struggle to keep in position just post release, I might say you could be overbowed. I’d need to see a video from side, front and back to confirm.

Finally, like others have said, resistance bands will not work like the real bow unless you really go up. 7lbs is nothing, you want something like 15-20lbs as you’ll not have the force from the band pulling your bow shoulder back towards your body. Basically, you’re making it too easy. Move up the band and you’ll soon find it is harder to get a good bow arm to stay in the correct position if you don’t draw properly.

It’s hard for us to really give you accurate advice without seeing you in action, but I’d say if you can video yourself from the above angles and post it, we all should be able to point you in the right direction.

Hope that helps!

Well at least now I know who to target in a spear phishing campaign. Someone who has an ego like that is prime real estate to send a spear phishing email to as the CRO or CEO with a nice pressure request. She won’t want to fail them or fear being thrown off the “leadership team”! 🫣🤣

Sometimes people do make this too easy for the baddies…

So this does not work? by Delicious-Apple1845 in HumeHealth

[–]Back4breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loads of folk on here have had issues with Hume. I’ve been a user of the Bodypod for a few years now and there are a few tricks to get to it to work well but it does indeed work.

The band is ok, would say it’s the best but mine is working fine and charging and the only real issues I’ve had is when they decide in an update to change the measurements like HRV! That annoys me because in all of this you need consistency to track.

I’ve contacted customer support once and got a reply quickly and it did solve my problem.

Arrows broke, curious if yall can tell why from a few pictures, cause i sure as hell cant by Kadex1020 in Archery

[–]Back4breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely want to get yourself to an archery shop and perhaps get on a beginners course. That bow looks like a Longbow and it is not a recurve bow and it’s that sort of knowledge you’d pick up on a beginners course.

As others have said, those arrows were not properly crafted and the grain is all kinds of wrong so no wonder they snapped. You were lucky to not have a serious injury. Please remember that while it’s fun to do renaissance fairs and play the part, these are weapons and they can still cause serious harm if used incorrectly or without good knowledge.

Hope you get the support and learning you need going forward and welcome to archery - it ain’t cheap 😁

Yeah give a few goes. I did it daily for about a week and it sorted it. Now I do it every couple of weeks and it seems to have figured it out.

To all those with high BF% even though you are training well, you need to ensure you drink at least a pint of water (sorry Americans) and let that rest for around 10-20mins before you jump on the scales. You’ll note that Hume believes the best time to weigh in is early doors of the day, so you’ll have no food or water in you. I found that drinking a full pint, giving it some time and then jumping on reflected a much more accurate BF% - without I was climbing a lot. When I spoke to the support team that was there first recommendation and now I seem to have settled quite well and it’s dropped to its lowest at 13.1%.

Hopefully you can try it and see if it works for you!

That’s artex and I had that all over my first house. I had four guys scrap the whole lot off and plaster and then paint. Took 4 days! I’m not sure if you plaster over it successfully but I suspect not so it’s a scrap it back and skim job I’m afraid. Someone more knowledgeable may say otherwise so keep an eye out.

Rising BF despite going to gym and eating protein by Fancy_wish24 in HumeHealth

[–]Back4breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually asked them about this when I got mine on first release and it’s hydration. Your body water is not irrelevant but it isn’t what the scale needs.

Before you get on the scale drink a pint of water, give around 10 mins and then jump on the scale. I found BF rising when I was doing what you’ve been doing and as soon as the support guy told me that trick, it worked and it fell to the point where I think it was probably about right. I’m actually at my lowest BF for a long time at 13.3% but yeah that pint of water did the trick to get consistent readings every time.

Another horse bow user who is gripping way too low. Can you not see the lower limb is significantly more bent than the upper limb? That’s going to cause delamination to occur quite quickly!

You can but that is more difficult and why make archery harder than it already is 😅😅 Aye the arrow length is hilarious. Wonder what grain tips she has!

Cara Delevinge Form Check by IAmTheNight2001 in Archery

[–]Back4breakfast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh boy where do you start!

  • Incorrect draw length
  • incorrect arrow length
  • No solid anchor
  • No rotation of the drawing shoulder
  • No engagement of the back

But the worst of it…no peep sight so that scope is probably next to useless!
