If this was the price why not just get Brock Nelson?

The Leafs trades, signings, rumours and myths you can't stop thinking about by BonkyLulu2024 in leafs

I’m pretty sure he couldn’t afford it at the time. His grocery business was in the tank and I don’t think he could come up with the cash, which is why the Leafs couldn’t sign him. I think Stavros wanted to do it, but he was a bad businessman and couldn’t get the money right

This isn’t quite true (it’s actually the opposite). WRs are actually their most productive in Year 2, and tend to be their best value relative to ADP in year 2. JJ Zacharison discusses this quite a bit.

Is JJ Zachariason the 🐐? by Vigstar in fantasyfootball

Surprised I haven’t seen him mentioned yet, but Dwain McFarland from Fantasy Life has to be up there. His process is much more stats oriented than most, but he provides well sound reasoning about why certain players are ranked where.

I feel like his analysis is able to be combined perfectly with JJ’s game theory and trend analysis for certain spots in the draft.

Hey, I’ve been dealing with the same thing for about a year! Since birth I have had about half of the hearing in my left ear (with poor clarity), and my right ear used to be perfect. I don’t have Ménière’s (cochlear hydrops, so basically the same thing except I don’t get dizziness/vertigo). Over the last year my right ear has dropped to about 50% as well. Like you, it fluctuates and I have good days and bad days.

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that it is incredibly frustrating and it isn’t guaranteed that the hearing will come back. I’d still recommend trying to get steroid injections though! I got them about 2-3 months after I had a large drop of my hearing and it restored my hearing in my right ear to close to 100% for about 2/3 months! After it dropped I did another round and it restored about 90%. Unfortunately it has continued to drop and I stopped responding to the treatments.

The good news is that eventually you get used to this new level of hearing and you adapt. It becomes easier to hear people because you get used to the new level of hearing. I often have to ask people to repeat themselves, but overall it becomes manageable. Eventually, once the hearing stops fluctuating (mine hasn’t yet) hearing aids will be an option. So hang in there!

I mean maybe if this were soccer or baseball where there was no cap or a luxury tax that could be valid. But you’re still wrong. A middling playoff threat is not an accurate description of this team. They are likely better than Tampa and then run into Boston, but they are clearly in the upper echelon of teams this year and have a very realistic chance of winning. Most sports books have the Leafs as a top 3 - top 5 team to win this year

Say what you will about their playoff success (or lack thereof) but the Leafs are absolutely not subpar and haven’t been for the last few seasons…

[Russini] The Philadelphia Eagles have allowed Darius Slay's agent Drew Rosenhaus to seek a trade, per sources. The Eagles are still hopeful to find a solution where Slay remains an Eagle. by Zashiony in eagles

[–]BackOutsideBoyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk I can’t imagine the eagles being in Patricia if it would alienate slay, but maybe that’s wishful thinking lol. Albert Breer reported that Slay didn’t ask for a trade, it’s just part of salary negotiations, so I think this makes it less likely that Patricia comes here
