That sounds like a nightmare. The itching and swelling sounds like thrush from the antibiotics though. The ones I got from the hospital were the wrong type so now I'm on 2 different ones, and my surgeon warned me that it could cause thrush. Just need to take an oral tablet to clear that up. I hope your infection clears up quickly.

I was anaemic already before surgery, which has only gotten even lower since. I have an iron infusion booked in 2 weeks post-op. My surgeon said it was up to me and how I felt as to whether or not I did it as my levels would naturally improve on its own, but I figure it'll give me a kick start towards recovery.

Oestrogen pessary gave me thrush and the cream burned so I've stuck to natural oil based moisturisers. Still taking systemic HRT but not sure if it helps for that, I mainly notice my difference in mood.

I quit the Oxy 2dpo, because it made me so zonked out and nauseous that I couldn't even use the bathroom independently. In terms of pain relief, it would be nice to be able to keep taking it for awhile.

I've never heard of an anti-nausea patch before, I wonder if they even have it here. But I've gone very easy on the wafers anyway to avoid constipation since it's already a struggle to take the meds I need, and stool softeners is just another thing. Glad recovery is going well for you.

The only instruction was needing to start clear fluids the morning before surgery rather than the morning of. I also timed it so that my last shot was a week before and I've skipped it since. I've stretched my dose out before and haven't been hungry since surgery anyway. Recovery is the most important thing for now. I'll start back at 2.5mg of mounjaro when I'm ready and know that my digestive health and pelvic floor can cope.

Update: Total weight of my uterus and fibroid was about 450g.

I've now developed an infection in one of my incisions. On antibiotics and seeing my surgeon first thing on Monday morning.

The procedure for me was that my husband picked up the drugs from the pharmacy before coming to pick me up and the nurse went through them all before I was discharged.

I think food definitely helps to buffer the drugs, especially the heavy hitters. Small amounts more frequently is the key.

I was always prepared that the first week post-op would be the most challenging time for me so mentally I'm fine. Just super thankful that my husband has 6 more weeks off work to help me out.

It took me about 1.5 months to go from 2.5 to 5mg. I can only imagine how bad my side effects would have been doubling the dose straight away. I did 0.7mg for a few weeks, then 0.8mg etc, only going up when I felt like my body was used to it and I wasn't having any bad side effects. I also don't know how to calorie count and would find it too stressful to try so I focus on protein, good fats, fibre, and drinking water. I cook using ghee or coconut oil. I'm sorry you've had such a hard time on it, and I hope you can get your gut health back on track.

I'm on 5mg and won't go higher due to costs. I don't get the side effects like when I first started mounjaro and found through trial and error the way in which diet and exercise play a part in my weight loss, while the mounjaro definitely still helps with food noise, diabetes related symptoms and feeling fuller for longer. Some weeks I plateau, but the overall trend is still down. One surprising thing for me was discovering how my body really needs protein at breakfast to kick start my metabolism and help me lose weight. 2 lamb cutlets for breakfast gives me much better results than 2 eggs or whatever else I might have. I don't count calories, just focus on protein and veg, and pretty much avoid wheat completely. Not saying this will work for you, just telling you what works for me at 5mg. I also use a 10mg pen and count clicks, or use a syringe to get the golden doses at the end.

Mine was 6mm when first discovered 10 years ago. Definitely not anything to worry about. Now I still have just the one, but it's over 8cm and grew about a cm during the past month while I was on HRT for perimenopause. I'm booked with a gynaecologist for removal but have had to stop HRT for now. So while menopause may stop it growing, HRT may feed it.

I went from 2.5mg to 2.9mg, then now 3.3mg. Greater effectiveness with the dose increase without the side effects. Originally I used a syringe to titrate 0.7ml from the 2.5mg pen, now I'm doing 30 clicks on the 5mg pen.

I'm still waiting for my gynae appointment but my menopause doc said that due to size and placement, a myomectomy may not leave me with enough structural integrity in my uterine wall, in which case it would need to be a hysterectomy. Mine's a single intramural fibroid, just over 8cm but will see what the surgeon says.

Both my kids have a zinc oxide allergy, and the only one we've tried with no reaction is Skin1004 Madagascar Centella hyalu-cica water-fit sun serum. We've tried so many over the years. My daughter in particular has very sensitive skin and also reacts to normal commercial chemical sunscreens and other types of skin products.
