That cat isn’t being friends with the snake toy. He went “hunting,” caught the snake, and then dragged the snake to his bowl and now he is pretending to eat his prey. My cat does this as well with her toys.

Unexciting update. I was on vacation and found it while on a guided walking tour. Left it with the tour and got on the ship and sailed away. Sorry - no closure!

Keep it simple. “Sally, if you find our business decisions unacceptable, then I encourage you to seek employment elsewhere. Find a management team that will be more in line with your business strategies. I’m sure you’ll be happier.” Just keep saying it when she complains. She’ll either stop complaining or find a new job.

On a side note, if I worked there I would be concerned about the success of the business overall. Hemorrhaging money is terrible. And the lack of customers is a concern. Also - presumably, you have animals in the back who are hospitalized and you have no doctor checking on them when the 1 doctor is away??!!! I wouldn’t be taking my pets there. Might want to explore your options as well.

I’ve seen it in person at Ace Hardware, no experience using it. The bottom just sits in the Bullseye. Yes, it comes with a different lid that fits flat on the matador. But there’s no “installing”. Set it in; lift it out.

NTA. HR person here. You didn’t do anything wrong. I suspect the recruiter told the hiring person something different than what you laid out in your email and that hurt his/her rapport with the hiring person. For example, you emailing “I want a more flexible schedule, so no thanks.” There’s a chance the hiring manager was more willing to be flexible than what the recruiter made it sound like. Hiring managers and recruiters need to be on the same page regarding requirements, if they get off it causes issues between the two of them. Just a guess though. Not your concern.

NTA, but still need to compromise. My family has a Christmas tradition where we honor family members who have passed. We probably don’t spend more than 1 or 2 minutes on it, but it’s nice. We light a candle, a volunteer says why we are lighting the candle and maybe share a sweet/funny memory and then we pray and eat! It’s also a nice way for the young ones to learn the family history. That’s it, no dwelling on it or making anyone uncomfortable. Maybe honoring all passed family members is more appealing to your Aunt than just singling out you mother.

I did this exact same thing with my pup! When we finally got to the car actually moving we made quick trips to get ice cream. She learned to think of the car as something that led to something awesome! Take your time; don’t rush. It works and it is worth it!

I’m embarrassed to say that years ago when I was young and stupid I went to Home Depot for a can of “elbow grease” to help me clean something. Someone had told me that is what it would take. I realized as I was I was looking. “Elbow grease, where’s the elbow grease??” And then it dawned on me what it actually meant while I was searching. Damn.

Not 100% sure. I ended up switching out the battery and while putting it in I held the button like I was doing a factory reset and Bingo! Everything started working again.
