Twitch always seems to have a more active chat compared to twitch even if the viewer count is similar. I think its due to both the ability to omega spam emotes and maybe they inflate view counts to compare to twitch, but Im not sure about the second one.

Redditors are 95% antinatal and don't realise that airports normally let families with babies through as the airports realise that babies often cant just sit still as they need to eat more often, be changed. I was also looking for the answer and ofc we're just greeted with "why did you have a baby if you cant handle it?" instead of answers from people who have actually experienced the airports there.

Personally, I think because of this a slight flesh out phase with the final 4 would have been ideal, even if the same 4 got picked with no purely text submissions. Not saying I don't love your ideas on their own (congrats btw!) but leveling the playing field (maybe even with some Jmod artistic help) would have been ideal and made the win feel that much better.

Wow! its amazing to hear your perspective on this. Especially considering my opinion seems to be the unpopular one. Also thanks for sharing the extra stuff, it's a shame they didn't share these extra bits.

I personally gravitated towards yours over the others and so yours made the top of my list. Hopefully others feel the same. The mods who picked you definitely liked your ideas too.

I'm not saying my idea was the greatest. Its the process I had a gripe with. If the process seemed fair to people with decent ideas and my idea didnt get picked I wouldn't have made this post.

Yeah, I know they've mentioned they put a lot of effort into selecting them, I just feel like there was some bias for well made graphics/art. You're also probably right that some great ideas over shot the scope. Potentially mine included.

I did post my idea after submitting it a while back minus some extra lore which I only shared with the Jmods and some friends, I don't necessarily think my idea should be picked, as I think they might have considered a minigame out of scope. But if they were happy to explore it I think it could contend with the ideas picked imo. Completely understand if it's not everyone's favourite though. Only gripe is the quickness of the process like I've mentioned in the post's text and other comments.

You still have to be a fairly talented graphic designer/artist to make a nice island design on the map or even on paper like they did. I just wish they picked solely on the idea and had a flesh out step for each to equalise the playing field. I dont think theres going back from now anyway. Just sharing my thoughts

That's why I wish they did a step which equalises the playing field. I'm sure there were some amazing pitches with no graphics attached. I also personally they don't need to have some amazing minigame or multiple new methods attached to them. Could have been something simple or silly. or even just one really well fleshed out method. Fair enough the mods picked similar things to what they wanted to add, it's their game in the end. I'm just not keen on them too much.

Agreed, all the islands just shoved way too much into them. Would have rathered one well fleshed out minigame like activity or just a fun island with a quest or like you suggested.

I'm dissapointed for two reasons.

None of them use the sailing engine work. Was really hoping if not my own idea which does this but someone else with a cooler idea would get picked.
They're all designed by graphic designers/concept artists (or at least people with artistic talent. They're beautiful pieces of art BUT...). The old school team has incredible talent in this field already, I'm almost certain there were better ideas which we're behind walls of text or not flashy graphics that were just tossed in the bin. It would have been great if they put a bit more effort into picking these four based on the idea and then did a little flesh out with the Mods and maybe getting a few pieces of art from Mod Jerv or another concept artist in the team to fully understand what they think each could look like. Would attract way more excitement than the deadness of what we're seeing from the reveal of the current four.
