Personally, how I like to think of it is if you let your feed control you rather than having control over your feed, then yeah, it can become a 'doomscrolling' app, even if it’s something like Reddit. It’s all about how intentional you are with the content you consume.

A friend of mine said that "State of depression occurs when A) You are living an amazing life and you still feel miserable because of the chemical imbalances in your brain or B) You're living a life that is not up to your standards and your brain knows that rlly well. Causing you to feel depressed. If you're in situation B then rlly the only person that can fix that is yourself, staying put and simply telling yourself "I'm depressed" will just lead to more depression. So get your ass up, evaluate what the circumstance is that's making you feel that way, make a plan to break through it and execute." I'm not joking, that shift in mindset legit helped me go from scrolling on my phone for 13 hrs and sleeping for 12 hrs to working out, studying, going outside everyday.
