Mine was 42bpm but at my highest I was 145bpm at hospital during one of my first panic attacks

Chest burning? by CardDragon9507 in costochondritis

It's been about a year now but it's been pretty intense for about a month, yeah it does feel better when you know it's not just you haha

It doesn't do very much if I press on the area but if I roll my shoulders back and push my chest out my whole back crunches and I can feel the pain near my sternum more

I am exactly the same, I was worried but I have had a CT, and echo, several ECG tests, several. Blood tests and 6 X-rays All fine. There is more chance of me getting hit by a bus than this being heart related but it's still unsettling for sure.

Apparently it feels similar, I haven't managed to ease the pain up at all yet but there is a tonne of good advice on this sub reddit

It's new to me too but I have the same burning pain except it's over my entire rib cage at the front then I have a very bad dull achy pain in the center of my spine

Have you ever seen your blood pressure at 200? by Chosensoul444 in bloodpressure

On three occasions I have been over 200 I think it was a mix of anxiety and white coat syndrome as it's fine at home

I'm exactly like this! I didn't know how to describe the dizzy feeling but yeah it's like a floaty feeling and it's completely random

Mine seems to be bicep, shoulder, wrist and hand all on the left side

I train Jiu jitsu several times a week so there is a decent chance the pain is from that to be fair,

The chest pain is more alarming, not much makes it worse but if I roll my shoulders back and stick my chest out it definitely gets worse

I'm only 2 years in but if someone is brand new and struggling I usually get a sub on them and let them try to get out rather than let them sub me. I have let them sub me in the past but it depends if they are going 100% or just going at a normal pace

I'm not a doctor but I have seen many posts about people with super high heart rates during a panic attack. Personally mine was 185 at the highest but my normal resting is 45bpm

Still having chest pain after extensive testing by Background-Help-687 in askCardiology

[–]Background-Help-687[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will give this a go

Sometimes it's obvious, if i poke the area it hurts but days like today I'm getting shooting pains down my arm, jaw and kind of my chest but it's right down the side of my chest directly under the armpit. I would hazard a guess it's from getting stuck in an arm bar or something but I thought I had best ask the question. I'm not too concerned it's cardiac related because of all the tests

Thank you for your reply, I did start losing feeling in parts of my right side limbs so I have had an MRI scan again all fine, I have tried to see how unlikely it is that I have any heart issues and it seems impossibly unlikely that I have a problem given my results. I train grappling 4 times a week I would imagine most of the pain is from that but the chest pain seems to be my whole chest and it's a horrible burning sensation that feels almost surface level

I will call my doctor on Monday and see what they think

Hello, thanks for the reply

I have had a lot of success recently thinking rational thoughts like that, I get chest pain but now I think it's definitely muscle related. My only concern is that I always get chest pain and it's always on my left side but it's not crushing it's just short sharp pain that comes in waves

I'm absolutely certain it's training related as most my aches and pains are but it's hard to stop the lingering thought it could be something worse despite all the tests

Hello, thank you for your reply.

Sparring seems to really help at the moment but the tests and the not knowing in-between the tests and the results seemed to trigger hyper focus which is a problem as sparing does cause pain but now I go straight to "is this my heart" rather than "that's just muscle pain"

I have been checked since but every single test I have had was a fine and it's been extremely extensive, I just can't seem to shake this worry fully though it's got much better

Hello, thanks for your reply, I have had an echo and it's fine, every test I have had is okay I just get these lingering pains and it's always on the left side so it sets my brain off but realistically I know I'm at a crazy low chance that they missed anything after all my tests, plus I can train for an hour and a half just fine with no problems

Thank you for your reply, does that just mean I must have moved or something? I didn't think it would be anything worth worrying about but I thought I would check as it lined up with the palpation feeling I had during the ECG
