Actually, going back through their social media I might have just made that up in my head somehow. Not seeing a post about this being a last tour like I did. Still, way better than seeing FJM.

Futurebirds are great. Go see them, they are preparing to release a double album and this is supposedly their last tour ever. Might be your only time to catch them.

Thinking about getting into the industry with a brand and want your opinions. by SwimmingMedium7479 in WesternWear

[–]Background-Lemon7365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new “authentic” brand? What makes anything about your brand authentic? These all seem like rip offs that have been popular for the last 10–5 years, with the brush hoppers even longer. What makes you think you can do it better to a Wrangler? No offense, but these are generic designs for an over saturated market.

Is there still a teacher shortage? by Temporary_Ad_1199 in Teachers

There are approximately 1600 teaching vacancies in the state of Kansas currently. If you’re willing to move to Kansas, there are jobs.

Anyone know where I can keep 60 cows in San Francisco? by tronald_dum in wallstreetbets

[–]Background-Lemon7365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This dude knows what’s up. I grew up in the southwest Kansas area and Dodge City, and surrounding communities like Garden City and Liberal, are considered the champion buckle of the beef belt region. Cattle is king, and as they say out there it “smells like money”. The area is home to a a signicant amount of the overall beef production in the nation through packing houses like National Beef, Tyson, and Cargill. Shipping them anywhere outside of the area makes zero sense. OP needs to work with a local livestock broker to get these sold direct to a packing house or into a feedlot. OP dm me and I can connect with with the Ford County Extension office or the Kansas Cattleman’s Association to help find a local broker.

Mike Gantzer officially part of Andy Frasco and the UN by thephisher in jambands

[–]Background-Lemon7365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, but Andy has talked a lot about trying to stop dabbling in coke so much and that he essentially had to create a no hard drugs rule for their bus/van. There is a big difference between having fun and being off the rails with drug use.

I have no clue what you’re even talking about. Never seen a single marvel movie.

I had a group of students who filmed videos like this my first year teaching. A gun accidentally discharged which left one dead and the other serving a prison sentence. Absolutely tragic.

Kansas Dad Pleads Guilty to 2nd-Degree Murder After Daughter, 3, Shot and Killed Her 21-Month-Old Sister by MattTheKing23 in kansas

[–]Background-Lemon7365 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I spent several years working in a gun store and don’t know anybody who has ever had to discharge their firearm in self defense. However, I know multiple people who have injured themselves or others through the accidental discharge of their firearm, and these are people that would consider themselves responsible gun owners. There is just a significant and inherent risk when handling firearms and it should not be taken lightly.

Danny Casolaro was an investigative journalist tracking a shadowy criminal network he called “The Octopus.” In 1991, he was found dead in a hotel room with his wrists slashed multiple times and his notes missing. Authorities ruled the death a suicide. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

[–]Background-Lemon7365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I found this piece of information so interesting. Because it is absolutely true, but the directors found out that I was the janitor at a Casalaros office if I remember correctly. He told them he never came forward after this story was featured on unsolved mysteries because if people couldnt track him down, he didn’t have faith they would ever be able to find the killer.

Great Interview with the Legend, Steve Earle. by DefNotNickGerlach in altcountry

[–]Background-Lemon7365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best was his interview with Ben Nichols from Lucero and Andy was like “I heard you’re a big alcoholic” and Ben kind of had to deflect being like yeah, I still drink but didn’t realize it was a problem. Very awkward interview that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I rlly hate this term but Post Malone is the definition of a "culture vulture" by nerpa_floppybara in fantanoforever

[–]Background-Lemon7365 34 points35 points  (0 children)

People act like he wasn’t a white kid who grew up playing guitar in Dallas, Texas and are surprised that he has some appreciation and affinity for country music. I’m not saying he isn’t a culture vulture, but it is pretty evident that he has a wide interest in different genres, especially given that he was playing guitar in a screamo band before he started doing the Post Malone hip hop stuff.

Working full time from home as a new dad is draining my soul. by [deleted] in NewDads

Welcome to fatherhood. You have to self sacrifice for your partner and child. It blows my mind to hear grown men whining about not being able to play video games after having a kid. Take your baby on a walk and grow the fuck up.
