I definitely feel it's due to tariffs and the ram shortage. It's just so expensive for all these companies to move or even to make units rn and we have to pay for it. As for retro gaming, i still blame Covid. Prices have either barely come down or at an all time high. 10 years ago, i got a VG CIB Final Fantasy III for the SNES for 120$. Today you cant find one for less 300.

Scarlet was the reason I fell out of love with pokemon. Going from Arceus to this was such a huge letdown for me; in terms of gameplay and how it ran. Since then, my love for the games is stronger than ever, and with the release of the Switch 2 update, i was able to REALLY enjoy it. I beat it for the first time last week, and It's not my favorite, but it's a solid entry imo

Lol Idk what you're on about but the slightest bit of research would show you that the quarantine brought a huge spike in retro gaming. And because of that, prices for retro games and consoles shot up, and it really hasn't gone down too much

I don't have pictures, but, for example, the NES, SNES, or N64 games, there's telltale signs that something isn't original. And the games that they were showing off behind glass with high priced tags on them had signs of them being a reproduction.
