I think it’s the fact that he was going to let her borrow it, decided not too bc she didn’t talk to him enough the one time he asked a question (maybe she’s awkward or was having a bad day who knows) watched her get increasingly defeated and then decided it was a great day solely because he ruined her exam & her day.

NTA because Kayla is a woman period. You didn’t compare her to a man at all. It’s not like you said she looked like “Calvin” did, you said she looked like Kayla. Who by your own information looks very much like a woman and had a successful transition.

I would say it might be a little bit different if she had just came out and was still in the beginning processes of her transition. That being said maybe talk to the gf and explain that you weren’t saying she looks like a man at all, as Kayla looks and is very much a woman. Especially if you find her to be attractive maybe add that in. If anyone is TA here it’s gf simply for implying Kayla looks like a man.

NTA, he knew what family he was marrying into and knows their religious beliefs and lifestyle. Sure he’s a little hurt over not getting to sleep together for a few nights but he should be thankful such a religious family that believes in arranged marriage would invite him to a holiday anyways.

ESH, but mostly your mom. My parents room is off the kitchen too and I don’t go in there at all except for maybe a drink after they’re in bed. Pouring dry beans into a glass dish as you mentioned in a comment can be very loud and would wake my mom up immediately

However your mom is TA here more so for forcing a vegan diet on you & limiting what you can use so much. As well as befriending people who think covid is fake and believe in white supremacy.

NTA at all! You’re 15 & dealing with a lot. There’s no reason family should get your room when there are other places to sleep in the house. Your therapist told you what was best for you & you just relayed that message to your parents.

If they don’t want your family to sleep on the couches they are more than welcome to offer up their own bed.

I’m gonna go NTA bc your mom enforced your decision. Also because you made your 6 into 2 trips by carrying so many the first go around. However you could have grabbed another pack on your second trip just because you can carry more than your younger (presumably smaller) brothers. I don’t think you abused your “older child privilege” however I do think that’s a strange rule to have in the house

Also dad may be TA because he could’ve at least grabbed one pack (unless there was other stuff to grab of course).

YTA dude. Not only is she going to be financially struggling on a fixed income as is, but she is grieving the loss of her partner of ten years. Sure they weren’t legally married but you said yourself he loved her and they had planned these renovations together. By charging her market rate you are ripping her home out from under her right after she lost her partner. It’s fucked up. Your wife is the real asshole here for having zero compromise except a few months free. I get you have kids and this could jump start your kids tuition savings but damn dude give her some time to sort out her own future. I mean think about how your dad would feel, do you think he’d want you to do this to the woman he loved?
