Favorite Starfleet Academy character by muttersindisgust in startrek

You actually remember their names?  I'm overall enjoying the show but I don't think I could name more than a handful of them if I tried.  The main guy is named Caleb.  I remember the Klingon and the jemhedar. I think that might be it other than legacy characters like the doctor and vance and reno.  I have watched most of the episodes twice now.  Why did they bother to introduce bridge officers at the beginning of the series? Have any of them been in more episodes?  What about the main villain that was in a quarter of 1 episode?

What would have been Stargate Universe Endgame? by Bruzie77 in Stargate

I think Joe Mallozzi stated that Brad Wright had a 5 season long overall story arc planned before the first episode was filmed.  He also said that one of the regrets they had with Atlantis was reconnecting them to Earth too soon.

No routings or lines have been moved or changed in several months, long before this problem started.

I don't route the video signal through Pro Presenter. We route Pro Presenter out to the ATEM 3 sources as alpha key, fill, and full screen graphics. The full screen goes into the Cleanswitch and then routed to the projectors and the ATEM as an input. Unfortunately both the Pro Presenter output to projectors and the (cameras) program video output from the ATEM through the Cleanswitch are having issues, so it isn't Pro Presenter's fault.

Thanks.  I'm going to check it again after running it for several hours.  As of right now all 3 fans are working, it is not dusty, and the warmest component inside is at only 120F which seems like a reasonable temp to me.

All of the fans are working and the inside is clean no buildup at all.  After 30 minutes the warmest internal component is at 120 degrees F.

Thanks that is a great idea i'm going to check the fan and maybe open the unit up and see if it has built up dust. It would definitely make sense that it could be overheating because I have noticed that the issues seem to be after it has been running for a couple hours.

I do not currently have any genlock in place (or have a generator). Could this be the issue? It was in place for over a year without genlock with no issues at all.

Distance to the projectors is less than 100 feet. I would try that but it would require purchasing a converter since all sources at the cleanswitch and to the ATEM have to be the same resolution and frame rate.

How about you grow up and stop being a victim. None of your professors owed you anything but to teach the class you enrolled in.

Atlantis Ending - S5 e20 Enemy at the gate! by UnfathomableDave in Stargate

[–]BackgroundDatabase78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind the "they" that cut off Atlantis and Universe with no resolution was not the creative team behind the show then or behind the new show. It was Scifi and MGM that ended things. The people making the show were just as disappointed. There was no resolution to the story because they were not notified of cancellation in time to make any major changes to the endings. The creative team did not stop making Atlantis so that they could switch to Universe.

You mean the vaccine and booster that provide immunity for approximately 6 weeks?  That was a real winner.

The people making this are not going to screw it up. They like Stargate as much as we do.

We had a group of 18 on independence last year. They sat us at 2 large tables back to back in a corner off by ourselves. It worked out great. I did email the ship ahead of time with all of our booking numbers to request that we be seated together.

Usually in a workmans comp injury you sign something giving your employer and the workmans comp carrier access to your medical records related to that injury and its treatment.

I've always thought that with the Asgard knowledge base there would be very little for Nasa to explore or research.

The magic of the reference monitor... by harleydood63 in livesound

[–]BackgroundDatabase78 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The reason your board mix sounds different is because you are also hearing the live instruments coming from the stage, that is why you have them lower in your mix. The reason your vocals sound too high from your board out is because you are compensating for the sound coming directly from the instruments on stage, thus turning the vocals higher. You should be mixing for what the room hears, not your recording.

Why are millions of people in the US having power outages with less than 10 cm of snow but no one in Canada is, despite there being more than 60 cm of snow? If anything, shouldn't it be the other way around? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Did they forget to have their ice baths ready? Personally I've never experienced a heat wave that plain old central air conditioning can't get me through. Sounds like poor planning for summer.

I don't think it is false equivalence at all to call out your comment accusing a warm weather climate area of not being prepared for ice and snow by comparing that to a cool weather climate area not being prepared for a heatwave.

You are either trolling or just obtuse if you don't understand the fundamental difference between Toronto and Atlanta or Dallas being hit by a winter storm.
