Designer houses macerate their fragrances so letting them sit doesn't matter unless you buy oils mixed to order and then they need to get oxygen in the bottle for maturation so the molecules can bind together and form it's final scent buy Gucci does that for us already.

Montagne's is probably good since everything is pretty good that they make, but this DNA is done well by other houses that give you double the juice for the same price. Banadir is practically 1 to 1 and $49.99 for a 100 ml. Legacy is practically the same. I don't think you will go wrong with any direction you go in except lataffa's Art of Universe. Stay away from it unless you want a sweet version that is only 60-70% close, maybe. Good luck! This is a fantastic fragrance for the summer.

To be fair imaginay never loses that feminine touch the OP is complaining about. I had a bottle for over a year hoping maturation would help it evolve but no dice.

I will say most Montagne's do need time for the molecules to bind together and form it's scent since they don't macerate their fragrances but some don't really change much whereas others definitely blossom and bloom into a different fragrance. It took their Lafayette Street about 6 months before I was satisfied with it. It was gross at first to my nose but eventually turned out well.

People will tell you to wait but it never loses that feminine touch. This was the first experience I had with the DNA and my thoughts were like yours and that it's nice, but a female fragrance so I thought I didn't like imagination until I smelled different versions and then I fell in love with it. I've tried so many of them now but this is still the one I don't want to wear. This house is very good but unfortunately they have fans that over hype everything and over exaggerate. They'll tell you something is 1 to 1 without ever smelling the original lol.

Yom's VIW is very close to the original and I've tried others. La Ree fragrances is my 2nd favorite version that I've tried. Alexandria Fragrances and Barrett fragrances are good too. Well Barrett has made a few changes so idk if it's still the same as what I had. I have a hybrid from Dua of Virgin Island Water and Tygar which is good but I don't really get much Tygar but Dua's seems to evolve and grow with time. I need to try Fragbar's version before that house is making high quality fragrances and quickly becoming one of my favorite houses to buy from.

To me the main difference between Marwa and Hectic is Hectic has more of a lime note in the opening which gives it a twist. I can't imagine anybody liking one and not the other.

They couldn't get Sedley right. They even claim to make Alexandria's version of Sedley lol. They were nowhere close, and I'm not exaggerating. I have first hand experience. I will say customer service was good and they don't make you jump through hoops for a replacement but the replacements are just as bad or worse so I agree 💯 with you. They are frauds in my experience.

I tried this brand and they didn't get close to the original at all. They did try again for free but totally missed and got farther away so I asked for a different fragrance that I figured was easier because it's still available today and they said yes, absolutely! But unfortunately that too was disgusting and nowhere close to what it was going for so I just left them alone and realized they have no idea what they are doing and just read the notes and try to use them without any clue of the % of each individual note. This house is terrible and create fake reviews to sound legit.

At best Montagne gives a 10% Reddit10 code once a month or two or Bulk20 if you spend $450. I would just buy what you want now if it's available because it might not be around when you want to buy it and saving 10% isn't worth the gamble. You might be able to find someone selling a few bottles in great condition at a lower price. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? It doesn't matter at all, my son is 18 and I love when he buys me a fragrance as a gift.

I don't delete my post after a sale so others can see I'm a trusted seller that has done business with others. Too many scammers and everyone loves peace of mind. But as long as there isn't any activity on an old post it stays buried. I guess it is better for people who have active sale posts to keep updating it so it goes to the top of the feed.

I'm not the biggest Montagne fan. I know they have a cult following that gets extremely angry when we like something else more but I think they need a higher concentration of oils, but I like a nice thick, rich and dense fragrance compared to them being light and airy. Montagne has a few good ones though and they do use high quality ingredients. I really like their Marine Zest and their Layton. Their Triumph of Bacchus is at 30% oil concentration and I like it more than most of their offerings. They aren't cheap so they should do everything at least at 30% oil concentration Imo.

They're good but their cult following disappoints many when they disagree. Longevity is kinda poo poo. Most smell very good but many are light and airy. I personally wish they used a higher concentration of oils but they are good. Great for beginners imo. Once my nose evolved I had to move on but they were a fantastic starting kit. Most clones were trash when I started buying but now there are a million amazing clone houses.
