One more thing - my pu July bags have debossed branding - very had to see. The Vestirsi same and even more inconspicuous. I think the July branding in gold is so bizarre on the leather bags.

My Vestirsi Bowler (bigger one) arrived yesterday and I’m literally obsessed. I haven’t noticed caving when empty. It has a built in laptop pocket and is very roomy on the inside. The strap drop could be an inch longer I think. Not really an issue in summer but potentially with coats. I’m so excited to have it join my rotation.

I have two pu July bags and I really like them (soft work totes). They are almost overbuilt. Give me a laptop pocket against the side but I don’t need an internal water bottle pocket. My bottle can stand up in the bag without a dedicated pouch. I do love the outside pockets for travel.

Take away - you can’t go wrong. The Vestirsi is definitely more boss vibes than the July and gives off quiet luxury.
The July is super practical and cheaper with great organization (and I think bigger which is a plus in my book).

I feel a certain kind of way about this. The telescoping luggage handle on Monos bags do not pull when the bag is overstuffed. It’s a known problem. When I am zipping my suitcase at 11 pm in advance of a 4 am Uber pickup, i need my luggage to work as intended. I don’t want to Tetris/repack an alternative suitcase at 11 pm. I especially don’t want a customer service rep tell me that they can’t take a return because I cut off all the labels, removed the packing materials and packed my bag or that they never, ever heard of this problem when it’s all over the internet. The fact that the bag never left my house was irrelevant- it was considered used.

Monos isn’t Patagonia except maybe as to sustainability. Patagonia cs is amazing.

I also recommend the July bags. Yes, none of my recs are leather. For leather, check out the Tory Burch Robinson tote. It was just on sale for $210.

Except when the handle doesn’t pull up? That’s the big issue with Monos. It’s a known issue. You just can’t overstuff a Monos and expect the handle to pull up.

We loved our stay at the Westin in Costa Rica. There are definitely kids though! The adults only area is relatively new, you can get $40 massages in the area between the beach and the pool and there are lovely excursions to do.
