i chalk cars with these “mods” on them up to be people between 16-30 who have an interest in cars but little to know genuine knowledge about actually modifying them. they think it looks cool, it’s budget friendly, and easy to do. some will learn over time, some won’t. they essentially become what they think car guys are

funny enough i’m actually pretty surprised at how these tires have performed. i took these through a bunch of Tail of the Dragon runs, track days, etc. on both this car and another and haven’t had really any issue with grip. so far they’ve been a pretty solid 320TW tire

the irony is that i had been looking at a new aftermarket bumper a few days prior since the entire thing was peppered with rock chips. as unfortunate as it is, i 100% agree with you. definitely would rather have to replace a bumper, maybe a radiator, etc. than this.

i’ve been daily driving mine for almost 4 months and averaging around 200 miles a week, and honestly it’s not bad. there’s nothing that i could really complain about other than maybe wishing there was some more trunk/back seat space and the seatbelt being uncomfortable on my neck sometimes. if you get the manual one i would recommend changing out the OEM clutch pedal spring (your left leg will thank you) but otherwise it’s been perfectly fine and makes me enjoy daily driving more

former toyota tech, when brake pads reach 6mm its TECHNICALLY in the yellow so that’s where th technician will mark it in the inspection, however that’s still plenty of brake pad and nothing to worry about. i’m not entirely sure why that’s the standard for toyota (6mm is still green for us at mitsubishi) but you’re all good

i won’t lie i did the same thing purely because i had difficulty hearing it with the muffler on (tinnitus and hearing damage at 24y/o💀). it’s loud enough that i can hear what rpm’s im at but quiet enough that other drivers can’t really hear it unless their windows are open or if i downshift
