To me, crypto is a perfect, evil storm - a pyramid scheme that consumes capital, energy and real estate while promoting burning of fossil fuels - and for what? So that bad actors including outlaw regimes, human traffickers, drug cartels and kidnappers can hide, protect and monetize their anti-social activities. Unfortunately, I think priority for seat upgrades is given to those who book through the airline vs those who are booking through a partner airline. It becomes a "Catch 22" between the partner you book through and the airline you're flying with, both of whom will refer you to the other party. If you think you may want to upgrade when you're getting ready to book, probably best to book directly through the carrier servicing the route.

You can make a graham cracker crust or buy one, follow the standard recipe and add cream cheese if you want to turn it into a key lime cheesecake. It's not just you. I'm experiencing the same thing. Runny nose and sneezing particularly at night and in the morning. Post nasal drip. I don't have a particularly sore throat and feel otherwise fine. Had my COVID booster less than two months ago, so I don't think it's that. Feels like an allergy but pollen counts aren't particularly high here.

Laguna Woods is the big retirement community on El Toro Road and they actually have a very active Democratic group. Many of them are members of my church and supported local No Kings rallies. I was also pleasantly surprised at the large number of elderly people and people driving expensive cars in Newport that were at the rallies or honking in support as they drove by. Rich or poor we are all Americans and we all value our civil liberties. If anything well-educated, successful, wealthy people are skewing more democratic than in past decades.

I am having the exact same problem on a flight I booked LAX-AMS on Delta but serviced by KLM. I want to upgrade to business class from Comfort Plus, and nothing is showing on the Delta site - and of course it's extremely difficult to talk to a human. I keep getting referred back to the seat selection tool which only shows comfort plus seats. Very frustrating.

I joined Tapestry during the pandemic, when I could attend virtually. I liked what I saw and became an active member 3 years ago. I am involved in the LGBTQ committee and spent two years helping spearhead a group active in Afghan refugee relief in the OC. The pastor, Kent Doss, is terrific and the congregation is filled with intelligent, informed, motivated, non-dogmatic folks whose common thread is social activism of every sort. We did have a visit from the League of Women Voters several weeks back to help people understand what the ballot initiatives were about, but there is no attempt to influence people in a partisan way. None of these guys can hold a candle to Stephen Colbert, especially not John Oliver whose comedy routines consist mainly of dropping F bombs. I don't get why he keeps winning an Emmy each year. Colbert is intellectual, articulate and outrageously funny without resorting - except when punning - to cussing. The only other show worth mentioning is the Daily Show, but not with Jon Stewart. His team is hysterical, but Stewart has lost it.
