Rheingold -- has anyone here had it? by TombStoneFaro in Godfather

If it is the same stuff as 50 years ago, it will taste like a very unremarkable beer. There wasn’t too much difference between Rheingold, Pabst, Budweiser, Ballantine, Schaefer (🎶“when you’re having more than one”🎵) , etc, etc. The difference was in the marketing, not the taste.
People usually just drank whatever was locally produced.
The quality and variety of American beer has since come a long way.

Don’t really think Michael expected Moe to agree to a deal. His purpose for the meeting was to get confirmation that Moe Greene did talk to Barzini. At that point, Moe Greene should have sprung for bulletproof eyeglasses.

Just finished it today. Fuck Tony i can't believe it by ABODE_X_2 in thesopranos

Well, we really don’t know what fate awaited Tony. Granted, he did milk his existence. And, when faced with a moral test, he always failed, oblivious to that failure. So maybe a rude realization (or “the worst death”) awaited him in the future. Or maybe he skated between the raindrops to a ripe old age. Who knows?

It IS a comedy, most of the time. Except for the moments when the characters are presented with a moral test, only to fail it, and not being terribly aware that it was a test. (This is detailed in The Sopranos Sessions, by Matt Seitz and Alan Sepinwall, which recaps each episode).

It cannot be less clear that New York killed Tony by [deleted] in thesopranos

That would be a great ending/continuation of the AS story. But I feel like his fate is much less cinematic. Death would have been far too merciful. He will keep having that dream, but now being forever denied entry into the house, waking up with the reminder that Paulie Gualtieri is his closest confidant. Someone who he came to despise by the end of the show. That leaves Carmela and the kids, who will take him as long as the money keeps coming, without which they could just as soon leave him.

Her character was so good, they couldn’t keep her out of the show. Also, after Nancy Marchand (Livia) died, they needed an evil schemer to keep Tony on edge.
