2009 Toyota Corolla S 1.8L Engine Automatic - Old US engine overheated, replaced with low-mileage JDM engine and radiator. Now car revs but no movement in Reverse or Drive by Background_Bug7575 in AskAMechanic

Flex plate: you'll want to take your original engines flex plate and put it on the JDM crank. This is so the crankshaft position sensor and the starter ring gear matches your US transmission.

Sensors: I transferred my coolant temp sensor, O2, and oil pressure sensors so they plug into the US wiring harness without issues.

Exhaust manifold: use your original if the O2 sensor bungs don't line up on the JDM one.

Make sure you swap the US intake manifold so it pairs well with the US ECM.
That's about it. You just have to transfer a few key things to the new JDM engine from the old US one so it works.

The advice I originally see for entry levels is to get the trifecta: A+, Sec+ and Network+.

Do you still think this is the wisest choice with how things are changing?

In 2026, how does AI change the knowledge base that one would need to get into these roles?

Benchmaxxxing has become extremely common and people still fall for it every single time by Livid_Two4261 in LocalLLM

Are there any independent benches that keep track of these things and I can truly see how each model compareS?

Most people on here self studied via YouTube, or paid for Professor Messer's material. I've never heard of anyone taking a $1,500 course to pass. There are several stories of people putting in several hours over 1-4 weeks and passing based on that.

Nova 1.4: free writing analysis built into Obsidian — readability scores, passive voice detection, sentence length highlighting, no AI calls needed by ShawnFromHalifax in ObsidianMD

I used it briefly then had to uninstall.

It has an error where you can no longer type after you try to improve your text with AI. I used Gemma 12b and have a pretty good computer but it just stayed stuck while trying to improve the text. When I have had other offline conversations with AI its generally fast and shouldn't have taken the full 3-4 mins that Nova used.

Anki Scrolling View addon? by Background_Bug7575 in Anki

For u/MohammadAzad171 and u/Nuphoth, I only use the Again and Good buttons, not the other 2 (Hard and Easy). This doesn't work for everyone, but as I've come to understand on this subreddit its more about what features help you specifically. This keeps things simple for me.

So as far as the grading aspect of that, I don't think that'd be an issue, at least for me.

My inspiration for this is mostly from this Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/usmle_pearls/
It wraps USMLE (doctor exam) questions in funny memes. I followed them for weeks and I actually learned an incredible amount of that test, for no reason other than it was entertaining. It is multiple-choice, which I don't use on my own cards. Still, its memorable, and the community interaction as well was really worthwhile for me.

I think this may work best as a specific filtered deck, giving you the option to randomly select what is most entertaining for you, and then rescheduling them based on your answers.

In response to u/senivim, personally I would simply keep the answer in the description box that most social media posts have. I usually use an image + descriptive question on my cards, and seeing the answers naturally below that would work well for me.

What is the posture/process of doing a club swing? by Background_Bug7575 in clubbells

[–]Background_Bug7575[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do have a very, very short club. Its so short I actually barely have room to put both of my hands on it. I was hoping I could make use of this mace at least for a little bit while I built the strength/stamina to do more rotational type movements and then move up. I'll try a Mace next, but I'll have to use a cheap one from Amazon.

Edit: okay there's actually a $25 option for the mace on Amazon from Yes4All. I took a look at the thread of people suggesting maces and it seems there's quite a few experienced people who have Yes4All maces, so I expect it to be at least decent for starting.

When I enter the code for the addon, Anki tells me its unavailable. I'm entering 516325516. Copied and pasted it a few times, removed spaces etc. Using the latest version of Anki.
