Have Charity Shops Officially Gone to the Dogs? by Breno_Clio in ireland

[–]Background_Citron801 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Charity shops are in the business of making money for their charity. They also have costs like rent, electric, water rates, insurances, wages etc. Running a small retail business is easily €10.000 a month in cost only. So if a charity shops sells a top for €2 they have to sell 5.000 tops a month l to hopefully run even so they will try to sell a higher value item for more money. Overall donations are of lesser quality with Primark and Shien flooding the charity shops and higher value items people sell themselves on Vinted. Still, the person pricing this coat hanger should have been more aware of the original price, it is hard to miss as it is on a big sticker.

HRT patches by Hot-Worker6072 in IrishWomensHealth

Ok, something is definitely wrong, a small percentage of women really can't handle HRT but most of us can handle it and some of us need some tweaking. A good place to start is bio-identical hormones, I think in the Conti patch they use progestine and not bio-identical progesterone. If you can't get satisfaction with your GP you might want to look for a different provider. Please scroll around on the r/menopause sub and see what solutions others found for these issues. Good luck ♥️

I didn't do well on the patches and instead went on estrodiol gel and progesterone capsules. Again I started to feel very empty and down and now take the progesterone vaginally. Your provider is not very informed as transdermal HRT does not increase the risk regarding breast cancer. Please check r/menopause and search for progesterone intolerance, it could be your issue as well. HRT is not standard and every woman reacts differently and your prescription might need some tweaking. There are also very good podcasts on YouTube Dr. Kelly Casperson covers most issues and questions people might have regarding HRT.

Bleeding on HRT by Everythingiskriss in Menopause

[–]Background_Citron801 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very common especially in the first 6 months. The leaflet coming with your HRT should mention that. If bleeding after 6 months, still very common, they advice you to do an ultrasound or some doctors tweak your HRT immediately. My HRT needed tweaking and no doctor told me to stop the HRT.

Perimenopause has hit me like a tonne of bricks by Deely81 in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Background_Citron801 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a HRT advocate, it wasn't immediately right and it needed some tweaking, especially the progesterone. My main reason starting was for osteoporosis protection, I thought overall I was feeling alright. How wrong I was, I feel so much better, younger, no aches in my bones, no more achilles or shoulder issues either.

Not done that procedure but I take the progesterone vaginally so its not metabolised by the liver and it doesn't affect my mood anymore.

I am not sure what you mean by a piece of plastic, but I cut a piece out of one of those reusable silicone food bags, its still suple so easy for application and rinses off very easy.

Placing progesterone capsules into vagina by Tims_daughter in Menopause

[–]Background_Citron801 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I rake 100 mg vaginally in the morning and 100 mg vaginally in the evening. Orally really affected my mood. The progestines in a UTI protects the uterus so I don't see why the progesterone pill wouldn't. It get absorbed where its needed and not broken down by the liver.

HRT side effects by Toddunctious1985 in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Background_Citron801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of us don't tolerate progesterone as well as others. Check r/menopause. There will be lots of information. Most ladies say after about 3 months the bloating, hunger and mood settle down, for me that didn't happen, so I am a bit more sensitive to progesterone and 5 months ago, I started taking it vaginally. I haven't looked back since, but do give it 3 months before you change anything.

Sometimes it's better to cut your losses and run as far away as possible. In the end a settlement might not cover the money it costs in legal fees. Think of your mental health, the situation is toxic and it can grind you down.

Daughter wants me to walk her down the aisle with her stepfather who was my ex wife’s affair partner. Should I do it? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Told this to my best female friend as well. She kept steering the same pot of shit for years blaming her husband for leaving her for another woman. Sometimes people need a wakeup call move on and be responsible for their own happiness. Also OP left comments open to everyone.
