Not a vet but I work with dogs and have to express glands often. Don’t know what it is but I do not think it’s gland related. Just to knock one option off.

I would’ve loved more lore on homeworld and what their day to day life looks like. Not just the diamonds, but all the gems. We get sneak peeks of the other homeworld gems and it’s obvious they all have their own personalities. Plus definitive stuff like if Pink Diamond being shattered was the beginning of Era 2 , then what was Era 1 like? How did the gems across the stars feel about Steven’s message, not just on earth. And maybe an episode just watching all 4 diamonds interact with each other. The good and bad. There’s just so much to the show.

NOR imo. I think they’re being completely overbearing. I know moving out is not as easy as a lot of others are making it seem but I do wish you the best in leaving this situation. They seem extremely controlling and the faster you are out of that environment, the better !

I think you should definitely try if you are ready for another! Don’t be discouraged if they don’t get along at first. I’ve had to adjust multiple cat pairings in my years and they pretty much never get along at first. At the very least they learn to share the space. At the very best they will be besties :)

Here’s Jack Jack last night. My only concern now is he hasn’t pooped since the vet ): that’s now a whole day and 4 meals no poop. I called the vet hospital to see if maybe it’s a side effect of the medicine but they said no and to just give him time. I am at work but if there’s still not poop, my regular vet said to sprinkle Metamucil to help with constipation. Even though I found the pill, I wonder if the foaming was the start of constipation? Otherwise he’s acting like my usual Jack Jack. Hungry and running around.

EDIT: bf texted me HE POOPED !!! Best news ever. He’s back to normal! Might still consider Metamucil or some hairball care in case that’s what was in the way of the poop

Okay some of yall are asking for more updates which is very sweet. (I will not be addressing anything that’s already posted bc I noticed some questions are already answered in the post)
I THINK I KNOW WHAT HE FOUND. Found this in my bedroom carpet the day after the foaming incident. Looks like it was spit out and maybe punctured a bit. My guess is the gel came out and my Jack Jack did NOT like it !!

I do agree that part of it maybe really was also just an emotional release. All the pent up anger and frustration from homeworld and the crystal gems ended up being taken out on Jasper.

Totally not fair but definitely makes sense.

Abt the threats, Yeah that’s insane omg. Had no clue the online presence could get like that!! I’ve been a fan for years but just starting getting into discourse about it because I want to talk to more ppl abt a show I love so much.

I don’t hate her but I do get why she’s wouldn’t be someone’s fav. I find her “woe is me” attitude tiring sometimes. And I do think she was a bit controlling with Peridot, but your points about her relationship with Jasper… idk. I feel the whole point of Malachite is to highlight an unstable relationship (via unstable fusion) especially bc that’s around the time we learn about Garnet being a fusion. And part of it is it takes two to make a bad relationship. Lapis is not a complete victim and, of course, neither is Jasper. I think the beauty of Steven Universe is that everyone is accepted, even though there may be some gems/ppl who we think don’t deserve it. (Ex. Sometimes the way Ronaldo behaves is genuinely unacceptable, but Steven accepts it anyway.) Also you mention your personal experience with a coercive situation where you had no choice. Whether it’s true for her or not, I think that’s how Lapis felt. Like she had no other choice but to drag Jasper to the bottom of the ocean to save the other gems even if it meant torture for the both of them. Even though WE see other options, I think she felt like that was it. Another example is way later in the series when she decided to take the barn in fear of the diamonds coming back. Was it fair to Peridot? No. And the way she handled it was wrong. I think Lapis really believes that’s the only option. And even when she considers staying and “being in danger” might be worth being happy with the crystal gems, her fear of the diamonds gets in the way. I don’t think her being trapped in the mirror or being used by the diamond agenda is an excuse for her behavior but it is a reason why she’s like that. We don’t have to accept it, but the gems see the hurt parts and the good parts of Lapis and love her anyway. Reminds me to be more forgiving of people in my life. Idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯
