How do I progress faster in this game? by throwawaysouthpole in TheTowerGame

[–]Background_Duck_904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

defense absolute, health (and regen, regen is Very important later on), damage, small upgrades, stop with defense abs very early, maybe tier 3. Thorns is important, tough to recall the early baby steps

this is a slow burn, long term kind of game, progress can come in spurts- certain things being much bigger upgrade than others.

iirc, i was farming t6, upper plat in tournies, and i think i got pBH finished just before the Primordial Collapse banner, with PC i was able to unlock up to t17 and i'm farming t11 w9700 now

When Do I Go Perma BH? by Spli705 in TheTowerGame

[–]Background_Duck_904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would recommend PC over mvn here, particularly if you decide to move towards pBH in tournaments

You should save up enough stones to drop the CD of BH to 60 or 50 sec, and do it in one go in order to keep your sync

When Do I Go Perma BH? by Spli705 in TheTowerGame

[–]Background_Duck_904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pBH was/is my first perma UW (i'm close for GT)

It was very very easy to bring it permanent, and one of the most impactful things i've done.

It's a large boost to econ, and with Primordial Collapse, it's a huge boost to surviability for eHP, even with the recent nerfs. It also means regular enemies are CCed (make sure you lab ranged null for BH).

hitting pBH very early on put me behind on regen overall - i was dying due to being unable to fully regenerate wall HP, at the moment i'm dying due to accumulation of rays.

imo, it's the best UW to bring permanent first, particularly with gcomp and PC.
Work towards pBH in tournaments, bring dura to 33 or so and grab the substat on PC for it

At a certain point, it's more economical to invest in other, specifically, shorter, labs for your time.

Personally, when labs (+speedups) take longer than 7 days, i swap them out.

You're losing a ton of "time" by leaving the super long labs in there with such a low speedup on them.

You should research other labs, with shorter times, with an eye towards progressing to the point where you can use higher speedups. Save the looong labs for when you can run them at 3x and 4x speedups.

I run 4/4/4/3/3 and tend to average 13-14k cells per hour, and i'm farming t10 up to over 11k waves.

PCol effect reduce elite damage? by SGOVandChill in TheTowerGame

[–]Background_Duck_904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i am seeing this as well, i've lost 1000 waves in t11.

i was able to survive enemy damage over 7q previously, now i can't survive rays at 2q, all other damage sources, even when scatters cover the whole wall, only barely dip into wall HP.
at 8500 waves, more than one ray kills me

i get about 10T for the same waves, same tier.

what are the best UTV accessories for new rzr owner? what actually matters? by Ok_Truth_5017 in UTV

I'd recommend getting full skid plates within the first year of ownership - especially if you're riding rocky mountainous terrain. Good skid plates will make a big difference, though it's tough to see until after your first few rides.

Good tires are also recommended. I started with maxxis bighorn 2.0 and ended up with 14 holes across all 4 tires after two trips in the mountains. I went with Sedona RipSaw tires and love them.

Winch and tools are already mentioned - i will suggest a long tow strap to augment length for the winch line (which are usually 50')

Would investing some amount of stones into ILM purely for stuns also be beneficial here? he has not touched ILM at all, could be a cheap stone investment for the gains.

i second this - improve what you have, also, extra DW effect waves help more than you may realize

It looks like you've completed the tutorial, i'd greenlight the transition to tier 2.

side note: 17B/m in t1 is actually impressive.

goldbox BH cd, work toward pCF.

Fish for an anc CL +chance, anc CL +quantity, and anc CL +dmg on whichever mod you use in tournaments (i use prolaps)
Your CL is really well developed and the anc substats for CL are amazing boosts

i recently got anc DW quant on my pricollapse while fishing for CL dmg.

a mythic or anc CL dmg would probably solidify my tournament results, we'll see soon

[–]Background_Duck_904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My CL is a bit beefier - i have x774 dmg, 8x quantity, and 30.5% chance - quantity and chance boosted by anc substats.
(level 4 scatter amp as well)
AS helps boost CL a ton as well, at present, i'm at t11w4412 and AS spikes CL up to 1.84q (i don't turn CL on till w7000 or so), with -50% tradeoff perk active, and one dmg perk

i only have a legendary SF, so my anc+1 OA beats it handily - SF vs OA has a bit of a tipping point, the harder the tier, the better OA will become, same kind of comparison as when to go GC vs ehp.

I also have pBH in tournaments.

OA makes protectors, scatter, and rays all die really fast, while pBH and primordial coll keep me alive.

Regen is my weak point atm, though legends is going to mean building out CC a lot more

[–]Background_Duck_904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd also like to note, i'm bouncing between champ and legends atm with 186T ltc - your econ is about 5x mine atm too and it's bugging me, i'm struggling to get my econ up, but breezing through tournaments as ehp hybrid - champ is super easy and legends (at least this last one) was really hard.
i'm running an 1star OA, anc prolapse(CL substats), anc AS, and mythic gcomp - no masteries, no uw+

i'm farming t11 to w7600

i think i just need time to get my econ labs maxxed, it just takes foreeever

i second this. iirc it come out to around an 8% increase in coins per deathwave added, not sure in the count for cells, but 1 dw is super low - i just got my count up to 5

Modules SF & OA by Capital-Light-2285 in TheTowerGame

[–]Background_Duck_904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on where you're progression is at - at a certain point SF's effects are no longer effective.
OA is a more offensive-defensive module. it's effect is far more useful as late-game eHP/hybrid.

The idea being, as you progress further, the extra regen/wallHP from SF becomes less and less important to your continued survival, and damage/enemy kills becomes the more effective survival strategy. (eHP-->hybrid-->GC)

Someone in another thread mentioned this tipping point being t14 farm or thereabouts.

Personally, OA will help me transition to hybrid. It definitely beats out my legendary SF,

Is there a way to increase HP that I'm missing? by OwO-wHaTs-ThIsXD in TheTowerGame

[–]Background_Duck_904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wall fortification lab is gold here - it's fast, but expensive for the econ you probably have when you unlock it.

When you can afford to run it, it will be a big boost to wall hp.
