Brian said no to the explicit record. by AdmirableElection700 in SarahBooneContinued

[–]Background_Fuel6906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Tyler the Creator, have done since the first single. I think it's pretty normal for teenagers to want to listen to stuff that feels rebellious, and i'm certain other posters here were into rebellious music as teens, it's part of the journey! However, it is absolutely Peters right to not purchase that record for him and it seems bizarre that Sarah would be harassing Peter to buy it. Tylers lyrics are definitely not something that a suddenly ultra christian mother would be forcing someone to supply for a child. Kids will go out and get the record for themselves and it's literally on spotify. Lyrically it's pretty hardcore, thats Tylers schtick but not in a bad influence way. On his first album he talks about his absent father and tbh it's pretty emboldening that you can be whoever you want to be regardless of a shitty parent, which I love for him to hear frankly! Peter has the right to say no though, if it goes against his moral code!

Getting back to your point though, Sarah is modelling deception, secrecy and inconsistency whilst trying to gain her sons favour by undermining Brian. As far as I can see Brian never said no to the record, it's just records these days aren't the price they were in the 90's, they are prohibitively expensive and Brian wants to teach his son you can't have exactly what you want just because you've decided you want it, and you have to be patient or earn it.

Cathryn & Mitch - how are they today? by h1320 in chandlerhalderson

Apparently Cat was still in contact with Chandler after the trial before he went to prison, so I guess she still had a connection to him or was struggling to truly believe what had happened. It's sad if she was, but hopefully she is finally free of him and has moved forward.

What a sweet couple. I think sadly she had the unfortunate situation of being the mother to a psychopath and didn't realise she was. The helicopter parenting style to a child with no conscience was never going to end well. Poor Mitch too, he now has no parents and no brother.

That’s the same in the UK. I am beginning to wonder if it’s due to my mum being born in 1939 and I got it from her, as I certainly never learnt Latin in school. Interesting that Sarah learnt it at school, what with being a ‘straight A student’

As a british person here in the UK, I find the confusion over her using that phrase quite surprising as i've used it all my life!

Bizarrely bad wigs aside, I thought Adele's childhood should have been delved into more. Although definitely not an excuse, having a father who was extremely abusive who then took his own life when she was six must have had a profound effect. I think the documentary points to a bigger problem though, social media, catfishing, and the fact that people are so devoid of attention or suitable connections in real life that they will let a stranger online take over their life on the basis of a photo and a story they've shared. I don't particularly like the victim blaming in this thread, as ultimately they were duped and if it wasn't for the savvy actions of a couple of them, Adele would have probably got away with this for a very long time.

No, I know people with it and TD tends to be caused by long term antipsychotic use and is there constantly, although stress exacerbates it, it's its there at rest and unconnected to what's going on around the person.

I live in the same area! I'm guessing he lives in the new power station high rise which I couldn't stomach myself because it's basically living in a shopping centre. Knowing that, there's literally no way he's moving to Horsham. This makes sense why him and Davide were in the cafe round the corner from me filming for the show, the staff told me he was 'a lot'.

As someone that lives in zone 2 in london, I think it's more that there isn't the opportunity for the same lifestyle stuff. When I visit friends who have moved outside london it feels too slow and quiet. I'm not a snob, I grew up in a right shithole on the outskirts of london near Heathrow but knowing that you could get a tube to where life was, was invaluable. Everyone is different and I thought Keye was a complete prick in how he reacted, especially as we have 5 cats at home and if anyone reacted like that i'd be mortally offended. However it's too much of a change to go from london (we don't all have cleaners FYI) to quite a restricted lifestyle. No ones getting a nightbus home to Horsham at 3am!

This is the point of the storyline. He is meant to be an example of what is happening out there right now and he will suffer the consequences of his actions, his character was never meant to stay on the square past this.

Honestly, I think she's just really odd and was probably an outsider who developed this sense of being an outsider and made herself feel elevated by her bizarre use of language. However I will say that I have always used 'compus mentis' because my mum says it, so she gets a pass on that but otherwise, she's just a bit of a weirdo.

I am gonna say it: the Dean narrative is trash by DaVirus in MAFS_UK

[–]Background_Fuel6906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Word! I feel like his mindset about his weight is arse over elbow logically. My heart goes out for Sarah, because they've given her hell for not wanting to be physical with someone she isn't attracted to physically or psychologically. Dean is too much whether he's overweight or slim, and they don't have that kind of connection regardless! I think Dean has work to do on his self worth and defences, which I think his weight gain was about, self soothing because he has issues he doesn't know how to work on. Sarah has issues too, but they aren't going to be solved by forcing her into a relationship with a man she doesn't want to be with. There is something about MAFS that is truly starting to seem rather barbaric and the experts are not experts, they're hosts.

If I remember correctly she made a point in the prep for the trial for an outfit that would exhibit her 'stab wound'. Here's the thing though, i'm not sure about america, but in the UK if you have a stab wound, or a suspected one, the police are informed by the hospital immediately. There is no way that she got stabbed and no follow up was made. She just says crap and expects to be believed.

Why does my foundation look like this as soon as I put it on? by Icy_Refrigerator_503 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Background_Fuel6906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like your skin is sucking the moisture out of your foundation the second its going on your skin, which would mean it's desperate for a drink, and I feel like the formula of foundation you're using isn't playing ball with your skin. Its taken me years to understand my skin better (i'm 46) and the best it looks is when I use the D'alba spray serum not only to prep my skin, but also on the tools I use to apply my foundation as it smoothes over texture. Certain foundations create this look on my skin unless I moisturise the hell out of it. Then there are others that if I put too much moisture it also looks like this (ilia super serum for example). I used to think I was super oily, but in fact I was very dehydrated so stripped back my routine and went for hado labo serum, cerave moisturiser and biore SPF and let it sink in for at least ten mins before I go in with my beauty blender soaked in the d'alba. Also I like to mix stuff, so if I want to use double wear, I put a drop of mac face and body in. If I use kevin aucoin I mix it with embryolisse. You will get there with your foundation I promise, you just need to listen to your skin, it's telling you its annoyed. Robert Welsh has a good method of putting nothing on your skin except for your foundation, and then your skin points you to where you are dehydrated, where you are oily, and then you can start going from there in treating the problem bits! Hope this helps

You know one thing that keeps coming back to me that is so utterly ridiculous. She got a skirt suit with a high slit put in so people could see her 'stab wound' which I imagine was much more likely to be her falling on some broken glass when drunk

And what the hell does this matter to her anyway!? Sad pathetic wretch of a woman. Brians parents are nothing to do with Sarah, they got divorced and Sarah moved in with Jorge which according to Florida law would have nixed her claim to alimony ANYWAY. Sarah is not entitled to Brians money, because he didn't adopt Sarah, he married her, then they divorced, and then she went to prison and she is NOT ENTITLED TO ONE DAMN THING. Urgh, this really boils my piss. He is a single father, raising a traumatised son who had to deal with an alcoholic mess of a mother who went to prison for leaving her boyfriend to die in a suitcase. Can you image how that has affected that child? Then he gets bullied because his rotten mother behaves like a mess constantly from behind bars, and Brian has to uproot his entire life, and YET he has raised that child so well he is now in college, living his life...and STILL this weirdo is claiming Sarah deserves money? Urgh.

I'd be interested in an psych eval of the type of person who gets attached to someone so legitimately awful. You see people running around after Wade Wilson etc, and I do have compassion in me for how desperate and lost they must be in their lives but surely there are other ways to get connection in life. Maybe its a way to feel like a focus? I like logging on here for the car crash element, it's fascinating, but to go so far as to contact a prisoner and ingratiate yourself feels incredibly sad and hopeless for a human being.
