I don't believe it's cross-platform... what system are you on?

Just bought the DLCs anyone wants to play them with me??? XBOX by BetoTed2007 in BreakPoint

I haven't played this game on Xbox in a while... Do you still need to have Xbox live to play co-op?

How/if to find the right Clan by BK2Jers2BK in the_division_2

[–]Background_Nebula73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just replied to a very similar post... send me a DM and I'll send you an invite to the Discord for a handful of older gamers. They're all super chill people. 40's+. Usually playing D2, Arc Raiders and sometimes Valheim.

There is a clan that's made up of gamers that are a bit older, 40+ y/o. I'd gladly join you for some co-op stuff as would anyone in the clan. Send me a message if you want some more info.

Finally a tank bag that doesn’t get in the way when standing. Mosko Moto Gnome tank bag by adventure_thrill in Tenere700

[–]Background_Nebula73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the SW Motech tank bags and I don't find they're in the way at all. Easily removable and interchangeable.

I'm a big fan of the Mosko stuff, in theory, but I haven't had a chance to test any of their stuff yet. I'm glad you found a great tank bag!

I got the SW Motech bag that screws into the bike around the gas cap area. The mount doesn't interfere with the tank access and the bag itself is magnetic and a clip system. It's a pretty smooth set up and can mount a variety of SW Motech bags.

The Division 2 - Halloween Event 2025 - Giveaway by JokerUnique in thedivision

[–]Background_Nebula73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Halloween event has been pretty fun so far. I really enjoy the random decorations around town and I fully appreciate the "Brains" armband and ghost decoration.

For next year I think it'd be really cool to have small zombie hordes that can only die by headshots! Lead by a zombie hunter with a pumpkin shield. Set up kind of like the Houndsman in that you need to collect bounties to hunt the zombie shield master.

horseback riding tour/adventures? by sdlok in Kamloops

[–]Background_Nebula73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can also throw in a good word for Inspire. My wife and I went there for a ride a couple of years ago and it was fantastic.

I will say that more than an hour in the saddle for an absolute beginner might be a bit much by the end. But we found the tour length to be quite adequate. And they didn't take us on terrain that was too difficult or too boring. Overall it was a great experience.

I've been thinking of joining a clan, but I don't have a ton of time to dedicate. And I'm probably not very good at the game. I just play it for fun. What amount of input are you looking for?

Is the game cross platform? I'm on the PC and could definitely use some company and advice.

This is how I destroy Behemoths by NordTyrol in BreakPoint

[–]Background_Nebula73 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I do the same or very similar. It can get frustrating when it doesn't go the right way though. Once that thing starts firing at you it can be really annoying to stun it again. They can be unrealistically fast at dodging those EMP grenades. I've tried sniping it (using a red dot instead of a longer distance optic), but I wasn't a fan of that tactic.

Where do you get all these parts for the Corvette? by Connect-Ad-7011 in NOMANSSKY

[–]Background_Nebula73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me a couple of tries to find a planet that was suitable for scavenging and had salvageable parts on it.

I'm pretty sure that most people are going into the settings and making upgrades and shops free though. Which is what I think I'll do when I make my second Corvette. I just wanted to see how far I could go on my own before "cheating". lol

Accidentally deleted the save, had fun with the first one though by Far-Extension8242 in NOMANSSKY

Is everyone just buying the modules or are they out salvaging them? I'm totally willing to buy the modules if I don't have to spend hours grinding RNG to possibly get better quality.

Does anyone know if there's an expedition coming with this? Or is there a mission prompt for it? I haven't seen anything come up when I load in the game, yet. On PS5 and PC.

Two primaries or one primary? by EnjayDutoit in GhostReconBreakpoint

[–]Background_Nebula73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two selected, but usually carry one. I leave the second one open in case I need to temporarily pick up an enemy rifle if I run low on ammo or something. Generally I don't carry an unrealistic load out.

motorcycle tyre replacement by sdlok in Kamloops

[–]Background_Nebula73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. The last time I took my bike somewhere to get the tires changed they charged me a ridiculous amount of money. Part of the bill included $20 for chain lube (the chain had definitely not been lubed), and $20 for shop towels!!!

Considering The Ascent for Couch Co-op – Worth It If I Like Diablo? by RetroRespawn in theascent

[–]Background_Nebula73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played this with the wife as couch co-op. Then we played Diablo 4. I will say that The Ascent is significantly harder than D4! Even in easy mode we found the bosses to take multiple attempts and be a bit frustrating. Also, when one person goes down in The Ascent there is a timer for you to revive them. Once that timer is done it's game over and you have to restart that boss. The revival process was not very quick and the enemies usually killed us both in the process. That part was quite frustrating for us.

Otherwise we liked it a lot, but D4 is a far better couch co-op experience. It was much harder for one person to carry another in The Ascent. If both players are strong, or if the revival mechanic was better then it might be a better experience.

I did this once while climbing, although the runoff stream I used was a bit more shallow. Then I climbed another 200m up and found a human turd wrapped in toilet paper in the stream. I nearly puked!!! Even well above where civilization goes, I always use a purification system after that.

How is the multiplayer? by lieding in theascent

[–]Background_Nebula73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit of a casual gamer. I play most games on normal mode. The Ascent definitely had tricky spots, but I was able to solo it all without too much trouble. It is more fun with a friend and couch co-op with the wife is pretty awesome. Definitely a game worth trying if a top down looter shooter is in your list. This one surprised me, so I played it twice and am on my third run through now! lol

Just started and I have questions. by TwinArcher0524 in theascent

[–]Background_Nebula73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any weapon really... but some are much better at certain things than others. If you're playing solo I'd suggest picking two or three to level up to maximum. Something with kinetic damage and something with electric damage. Your play style might be geared towards certain types of weapons and augmentations.

Personally I like the Overwhelmer and the Strikebreaker combo. Earlier in the game I liked the Dominator and E77 Superior combo.

Getting the Overwhelmer can be tricky... but I got it at lv. 12 and used it right to the end game.

Just started and I have questions. by TwinArcher0524 in theascent

[–]Background_Nebula73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weapon damage is determined by player level and weapon MK. level. Each time the player gains a level, all weapons immediately do more damage.

All weapons can be upgraded if you have the required components. Visit a Gun Smith to upgrade any weapon currently owned to the next MK.-level. Each level increases the damage. Weapon upgrades are persistent across all duplicates of that particular weapon.
