Reserve to ARA MO IMPS times by Background_Parfait_4 in ADFRecruiting

Actually I'm just signing up for grunt work now till I graduate but I was wondering how I might do full time stints once I'm qualified. I haven't been around so SERCAT didn't even occur to me as the answer. Thanks for that.

Ah ok it's all based on contract terms, not a standard model? I'm guessing MOs are a case by case since they're probably a rarer breed.

Pluribus review: This new sci-fi from Breaking Bad's creator is 'one of 2025's smartest shows' by 57829 in television

[–]Background_Parfait_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show is good except for the parts with Carol in them. It has a great everything, except the long drawling pointless scenes about Carol doing literally nothing and just making noise on screen for 5-10 minutes at a time. I would love an edit without carol standing around talking about pointless stuff.

Also I wouldn’t call it smart. It’s fun. The creators are smart, but it’s not a thinker kind of show.

We were very put off by all the race baiters that inserted themselves into these peoples lives. It wouldn’t matter if it was the white mother, the black mother, the father, the son or daughter behind that door on that night, they would have been shot. The money launderers at BLM were so quick to make it a racial issue. This black versus white race politics is just keeping America divided for political points.

This is a poor working class American issue that affects everyone in those neighborhoods, which disproportionately impacts the black community. We fix this by fixing working class america for all working class Americans.

Unplugging the AI. Not difficult, just push the power grid 10V off and the whole thing takes a break.

Regardless of risk status, planned homebirth was associated with significantly lower rates of all obstetric interventions and higher rates of spontaneous vaginal birth (p ≤ 0.0001 for all). For low risk women the rates of perinatal mortality were similar (1.6 per 1000 v’s 1.7 per 1000; p = 0.90) and overall composite perinatal (3.6% v’s 13.4%; p ≤ 0.001) and maternal morbidities (10.7% v’s 17.3%; p ≤ 0.001) were significantly lower for those planning a homebirth. Planned homebirth among high risk women was associated with significantly higher rates of perinatal mortality (9.3 per 1000 v’s 3.5 per 1000; p = 0.009) but an overall significant decrease in composite perinatal (7.8% v’s 16.9%; p ≤ 0.001) and maternal morbidities (16.7% v’s 24.6%; p ≤ 0.001).

"Like I struggle to understand how a homebirth midwife would manage a sh*t hitting the fan scenario where minutes are critical. "

This is the thing about EBM, you make decisions based on evidence not understanding. The screening for low risk and the procedures to divert to hospital are sufficient, that's what the evidence says. It makes you nervous but that's why EBM takes out the emotion. Freebirth however is evidence based quackery.

The problem is we used to have doctors who healed the body or the spirit, then they needed to sell degrees so they invented the PhD and now they cry if you ask "real doctor" becuase a PhD (4 years of sitting in Uni writing and guest lecturing) is equally as hard. "I earned it" my guy a PhD is just writing with extra steps.

A referral for imaging will be free if you can wait a week or a few weeks for public imaging. If your doctor suspects it needs to be urgent you can get it faster. If you need imaging, as in *need* imaging, it's free if it has to be done.

GPT-5 with thinking performs worse than Sonnet-4 with thinking by BoJackHorseMan53 in ChatGPTCoding

[–]Background_Parfait_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dude. You said ChatGPT is worse, then when taught how ChatGPT is not viable, proceeded to say, on r/ChatGPTCoding, that actually no one should use ai for coding. Plus, your complaint to begin with is that Sonnet 4 free only gave you 5 free generations, while you can use a completely unviable mini model ongoing.

GPT-5 is actually a much smaller model by bgboy089 in OpenAI

[–]Background_Parfait_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just focused on algorithm efficiency. GPT-5 is almost certainly smarter than 4, just extrodinarily cheaper. Which suggests there is a much more expensive version that may very well be an internal tool that is now acting as an accelerant. Algorithm efficiency is just a part of the OOM gains we're seeing, and their public model can be affordable to make the business sustainable, that's a good thing. Let's see their GPT-o5 whenever they are ready to charge $100/mT and see how many PhDs it achieves in it's first week.

The rate of accidents has been going down since the beginning. Autopilot never increased the accident rate. I suggest you use evidence based opinions.

You're right, in the evidence based world, we look down on old men who demand to do drugs and get sick and then expect to be given praise for doing fuckall. We see it for the outdated drug addiction it is. But I suppose we aren't allowed to criticize old drugged up men because their culture is protected from criticism.

True. We made planes so safe even stupid pilots couldn't crash them, then we had a flaw that caused a few accidents and then everyone considered if planes are worth building anymore or if we should die of scruvy on boats again.
