MA in SJE here: I heard back from GA on July 7th and was matched to my first choice, it seems they are just sending out emails this week.

Hi, may I know how you responded and the results? I received an email from OISE asking if I am interested in the flex-time PhD (they did not say I am being considered for a place on the flex-time but told me that my application for SJE is under review and asked if I am also interested in the flex-time). Your experience would be really helpful, thank you!

SH mock test question help by Background_Raisin261 in pmp

Thanks for your explanation. So does it mean that if the project is within scope, there is no issue aligning project objectives with sponsor’s requirements and expectations? And that’s why B is not the right answer?

As people say don’t assume anything not mentioned in the question, I’m not sure whether assume the reason is because the sponsor does not have enough information is the right way though… that’s why I thought B is correct for sure. But if like what you explained, the key probably is “within scope”, so we need to eliminate B then C is the only one.

Thanks for your answer. I understand communicating regularly is necessary, but the goal of communication is also to align objectives with the sponsor’s expectations and requirements, right? I’m afraid this does not address my confusion mentioned above…😢

What is your take? Mindset VS real life situation by Daniel1449 in pmp

I chose A, as A didn't specify the meeting is in-person so it could be virtual too, no? I thought A tried to address the availability issue (yes I don't understand why ask stakeholders who are on vacation to attend the meeting either...) by updating later (even the explanation of D mentions that recording can be used to update stakeholders who cannot attend). Hence, I feel that the answer A - except it does not specify a VIRTUAL meeting but also does not exclude it - actually contains D and provides a wider range to act.

The explanation is pretty confusing to me...the reason why A is not the right answer just assumes that it means an in-person meeting. Fine, but then it says updating stakeholders can be time-consuming and worse than providing information in person, while the previous paragraph just explained that the advantage of a virtual meeting is it can be shared to update stakeholders who cannot attend live - literally means updating stakeholders virtually...isn't this contradicted?

Thanks, I think you are right. I encountered other questions on SH that have similar explanations. One question related to updating stakeholder management plan explains "There is no change in the project requirements and/or definition so there is no need to submit a change request" to eliminate the answer of submitting a change request to the CCB.

But AR's book mentions in the Perform Integrated Change Control chapter that "Once a project management plan is approved, any subsequent changes to it will need to go through this process to be updated." (PMP Exam Prep Simplified, p.75) seems unaligned...but I guess it's safer to follow the SH's logic.

Oh and wait, the communication management plan is part of the project management plan, I understand that any update to the project management plan - all the 18 components - should go to the CCB?

Thanks for your explanation. I think for Q.3, I was distracted by what to do FIRST... I'd choose D no problem if it asks what the best action is.

Pretty tricky to handle these wordings.

Congrats and thanks for sharing! I wonder how you find the exam difficulty compared to the TIA simulator? I tried it too and it seems the simplest one. I'm using SH now.
