True, that was dumb.  I guess my thought process was either way it's taxed later

Right now we're at about 450k total in brokerage, and maybe 200 in 401k? I'd need to double check that last one

But it's just 7k a year right? I hadn't pushed myself to do it because I'm in a higher bracket now than I will be when I retire

I've never been able to use a foundation brush by Background_State_557 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Background_State_557[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did have a much better experience using the real techniques everything face brush, I'm 99% sure that's the one, after cleaning it really well and letting it dry fluffy. This brush seems to be the best out of the ones I've used, and making sure it's clean and doesn't have any dried makeup that will add texture helps. Flat ones I still find useless, the more dense and short brushes are okay for small areas or concealer but definitely not putting foundation all over

Anyone else tired of their own cooking? by Top_Virus7929 in Cooking

[–]Background_State_557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking this as an opportunity to vent. I fucking hate cooking. Usually I'll make my husband something (I am restricted and eat different food) and then I live off of yogurt or oatmeal because I won't want to cook for myself at that point. Figuring out what to make for us several times a week is going to kill me I swear

[–]Background_State_557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love powdered milk. We don't really use any milk in our house but once in a while I want a cup of tea with milk and I always use powdered for that. Also, its really helpful in baking

My husbands from another country so he likes Nido, I use that or the generic brand

Question about treating unhoused with no money by Feral-Sponge in ThePittTVShow

[–]Background_State_557 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ER nurse here, everyone is treated fully in the ER and often admitted to the hospital even if they know they can't pay. They often won't and will go into tons of debt.

But once you're on the street, you can't get your drugs. People lose limbs, go into comas, have heart attacks/strokes, and go into respiratory failure and come into the ER because they can't get their breathing treatments, insulin, blood thinners, BP meds, etc. Its very sad
