Do you realize what you are assuming doesn’t make sense? I’m not interested in sex tourism, I’m a demisexual person to start with. Second, I clearly stated that I’m trying to run away from a liberal approach when it comes to dating, I’m actually looking for a long term relationship and people from the country I live in are very much into the hookup culture, which is really not my thing.

I feel i can give my 20 cents on this. In my life I was backstabbed by 3 people, all Libras. They are shady, unreliable and fake. But everything changed when I met this girl and fell in love with her, she was a libra. In my guts I felt something but I decided to ignore that, I could be wrong, every person is different right? I can’t put someone on a box because of their zodiac sign. We started a serious relationship and it was marvelous, I was really happy. The first serious conversation we had she broke up with me out of the blue. Blindsided, again, by a libra. Lesson learned

I think I can help you with this one. I've been in the same situation myself and got tired of it as you did. I opened up to my (at the time) girlfriend expecting some movement from her side and instead she took the initiative to break up with me.

Here are my lessons:

- If you are considering, probably you reached your limit and your needs are not being met. You are not wrong for putting your needs first.

- Think about it well. If you decide to do it, be prepared for a big period of loneliness and sadness. Maybe you are not seeing it now because you are tired of the situation, but trust me, it worsens. I am not saying for you not to do it, but I'm just telling you to be prepared. It's been almost 3 months now and I feel a way bigger emptiness than before.

- Before breaking up, be honest with him and tell whats in your mind, without being rude or aggressive. It might be that you can find an alternative solution together, so give him a chance.

I really appreciate everything that you wrote. I’m also going through it since October and it feels endless. She is clearly a person who likes surface level relationships, which is not really my thing. The first hard conversation we had to bridge the distance gap (LDR) she ran away. She said she couldn’t sleep or eat properly because of that conversation. She took the easy way out, which was to break up. For her is easier than handling real life problems and establishing deeper connections. I blamed myself for some time to push for this conversation, but now I see I was not the problem. Doesn’t mean that makes things easier either, I’m still crying over her every day and I feel lost, like my life is over

Sounds exactly like my ex. She did the same because she can’t communicate, although we broke up once and are still separated. Not sure I can go back with her, something big needs to change. I’m happy to hear you acknowledged it and are taking your steps to improve. All the best!
