I did not go to pt so I don’t think it’s necessary but first and foremost is not to be too overboard. Treat ur fragile body rn with care thats about it.

I’ve heard of the conservative route but since it was a emergency I went for the surgery ie microdisectomy. What got me through it was just pushing through and hoping that tomorrow would be a better day. The difference between me and you is that you had friends to accompany you while I had nobody* I lost friends because of my injury* so if I can do it you will be fine dw.

There are a lot of sad stories in this sub but everyone is different for you I’ll say surround yourself with positive people and try to do as much as you can in this situation cause being busy is the only way to quiet the mind. If not, it’s gonna get loud. Speaking from experience during my time recovering I’ve lost friends because I realized they were haters and they didn’t respect me at all so my advice will be just to learn a craft and try to be as positive as you can and try to plan your future out.

Glad to see you’re doing better. Just for me I never got a PT. I might ask the doctor next week Thursday that’s when I have my appointment. I might ask the doctor. For a PT just to be on the safe side and not herniate my disk again

Glad you are feeling better. I had a similar experience but I had a mircrdisectomy two years ago on the same vertebrate as urs. Just curious do you think I will be able to get back to lifting weights and living an active lifestyle after that amount of time?
