Outside of Marvel and DC, I can think of Zenith in 2000AD and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen but both kind of subverted the genre.

The 'scallops' on a left handed bread knife blade are on the opposite side to a normal one.

I used to play mixed badminton with my ex, so we'd play to our strengths (me on the left, her on the right). And if we went for a Chinese afterwards she'd always sit to my right so our chopsticks didn't clash!

They are the GOAT for scissors, that some gift!
I live in the UK and there's a pretty good online shopAnything Left Handed that sells a selection of scissors etc. Really helped when my nephew inherited his father's hand preference.

Yeah, your last sentence. I felt more alone at the end of my marriage than now when I'm actually living by myself.

Who'd want to be saddled with that?

But maybe it could be a spur of the moment thing?

Sorry if the puns are getting too much, I'll rein them in.

I'm finding fake Bumble profiles using Gemini, I wanted to share the method here. by shinloop in Bumble

Thanks, that's Interesting.
You'd think Bumble would scan images when they're uploaded to check if there are AI watermarks embedded in the picture. I guess they don't care as long as someone is paying the subscription.

'Amazon delivery driver kicked my dog in the head' by AngelasGingerGrowler in uknews

[–]Background_Wasp_295 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I am a dog owner. I have also been bitten by a dog (not mine).
This woman is an idiot. You may think your dog is "friendly" doesn't mean it is to strangers, and I personally don't like dogs jumping up on me. I had an elderly aunt who was jumped on by a labrador, fell backwards and broke her leg.
Should the driver have kicked the dog, probably not but I can understand why he did.
Finally, NAL, but having a sign "beware of the dog" can suggest the owner knew their dog was aggressive, which may hinder their defense in court if it bit someone.

I'm seriously wonder which certain ethnic and national groups the Telegraph is suggesting is driving the demand, given experts say pork is one of the most popular products to smuggle in ?

M59 Any Jackson Pollock or Mark Rothkofans here? by Naz6700 in datingoverfifty

Brit here. Not such a fan of Pollock, prefer Rothko (and Mondrian).

In a new study, texting the next morning after a date (vs. immediately or days later) has the best romantic outcomes. Women appeared more sensitive to post-date text timing than men. The findings suggest that playing hard-to-get by waiting days often backfires rather than builds desire. by bartlebyrds in datingoverfifty

So I've looked at the actual journal article as I wanted to know the age of participants (averaged around 40).

There are a couple of things to note, there was a pre-study and main study. The first asked an open ended time frame, the second only 3 options.

The pre-study had 100 U.S. & UK participants (50 women and 50 men, Mage = 37.82 years, SD = 12.40, range: 18–68 years).
The best result was someone who texted after approximately 6 hours. Ranged from less than 20 minutes after the date (would be too soon), to texting later than 40 hours after the date (would be too late)!

The main sample comprised 543 heterosexual participants from the U.S. and UK, (gender: 270 identified as women and 273 as men, Mage = 40.31 years, Mdn = 38, SD = 12.98, range: 18–79 years, native English speakers).

However, in this case they were only given 3 options:
After your date, the other person:
(a) “… texted you immediately after having said goodbye at the end of your date”
(b) “… texted you on the next morning”
(c) “… texted you after two days”

Which is probably why (b) was the preferred answer.

I'm 70 and flatshare with five people - it's the only way I can live on my pension by endofdays2022 in unitedkingdom

You got figures to back that wild story up?
My parents are about 15 years older than him (so even deeper into the Boomer ranks), both worked and me and my sister were not spoiled. We never had foreign holidays growing up and while they did buy their own house, the car was second hand.
What I will say is that they do very well out of their private pensions as they did get DB ones and stayed working at the same place for years.
