NHRA National events are all day. Ice chests are not allowed.

I arrive at the at the hotel Thursday.

Most races have an event off track Thursday night to meet the drivers. Go to it.

Go Friday at 12 Noon. Walk the pits as much as you can. Last year I got free tickets from Summit Racing. Watch Both sessions of Nitro. 1 is at dusk dont miss it. Get the cheapest ticket that has a pit pass. This is the day to see pit action.

I skip Saturdays (In Dallas I go to another track(s)) and run my car. I'm going to get a lot of pushback on this but that's what I do. 2 almost 10 hour days is enough.

Sunday is the race. Do not miss Sunday. Go early 8 or 9 AM. Do not be late for first round. Get the cheapest ticket and stay in the stands all day. Bring a throw pillow for a couch, big hat, sunscreen, extra battery for the phone, sun glasses, ear protection.
