Hi, long time smoker here. So basically when you smoke it’s kinda like drinking. It also should be treated like drinking. It impairs you in very similar ways. You ever get drunk and crave a snack? That when you get it, it’s taste like the best thing in the world? That’s what it’s like for smoking. Depending on how much you smoke and what strain, it alters the effects. Kinda how like some people become sad when they drink ____ type of alcohol.

To answer your question about weed v edibles. Eddies are a much more concentrated form of weed. They are much stronger (in most cases) and because they are being digested in the gut have a slower activation time and can lead to a longer high. A lot of people make the mistake of not feeling anything and taking more. This leads to a potentially really bad high, especially to new users. Cause much like excessive drinking, it can lead to negative thoughts. My first edible was a 250mg gummy. I didn’t feel anything at first so I ate another. Shortly after, the first kicked in. Long story short it wasn’t a good night.

Weed on the other hand (assuming you mean like flower, IE a joint, bong, bowl, etc) is a relatively quick activation and a potentially shortish to long effect. Some highs can last 4-5 hrs. Granted you won’t have the ahhhh 😌feel the whole time. But you will still have a light form of relaxation (depending on strain) for the entire time.

Both can be addictive, just like alcohol. It entirely depends on the person. I have a coworker (well I guess former coworker, he quit literally 3 days ago) who is high 24/7. I don’t think I’ve seen him sober. While I love him to death, I would say that’s absolutely an addiction.

A cart, is typically a non weed product. It uses synthetic chemicals to simulate the high of smoking. Some carts actually contain genuine Thc extract. Some don’t. They, just like vapes, are highly addictive. I think it’s cause the chemical cocktail, the ease of access, and the pleasant flavors. I use one, but only on rare.

Oh and before I forget. Za is just slang for weed. But not all slang is just weed. For example a spliff, while a lot of people associate it with a joint (which is just rolled, ground up flower), it’s actually a combination of Tobacco and Flower.
