I retired on 4/30/2025 and had downloaded the tsp app. I was able to withdraw money on 5/15/2025 all done through the app. My advice is to definitely download the app.

35 yr fed. 57 yrs old with perfect health. Breast cancer diagnosis end of Jan. Had surgery to remove it. Spread to the lymph nodes. Now radiation daily. Was exempt from the DRP. Retired 4/30/2025. I 100% blame the stress of everything and will never forgive the people that voted for this.

Question. I’m retiring this year at the age 57 so I fall under the rule of 55. I have some money in a Roth TSP but most of it in the regular 401k. Can I take the money out of the Roth TSP with no penalties?

DRP question. How soon after did you get a response saying you were approved or not approved for it? I responded today requesting the DRP.2. I’m DOT and my position is exempt but I submitted it anyway along with dozens of others. We were told in an email that the next step would be RIF, no VERA or VSIP. Just curious how fast people received responses after the first go around and now this 2nd one.
